Re: External lift fuel pump - ecotec conversion

yeah I have seen your tank mods if I was using a sedan I would follow similar path, but the wagon tank design (cause of the spare wheel) I though a surge would be easier.
good to know the single pump works fine without a surge though

External lift fuel pump - ecotec conversion

planning to use a bosch 044 pump as the main pump as the sigma is a carby the fuel tank isn't set up properly for efi (no sump/baffles/pump pod) so I was planning to put in a surge tank and an external lift pump. my question is what is a good external lift pump capable of keeping up with the 044 and...

Re: 4g54 crack fix

possibly not sure how it would work I though as that would just replace the thread

the issue isn't the thread itself. there's a small crack down the thread so you can still tighten a fitting (not too tight as the crack widens) to it but the oil travels up around the thread and out the crack.

hey dude went looking for the pics, but I can't find them

as tubby said the wagons are base don the GE so it might not be bolt in for you.

mine was bolt in and fairly easy to work out how it went in. if I get a chance I'll pull the door card off

So I’ve finally pulled my finger out and started this conversion. Bought the kit about 4 years ago, but buying a house and other excuses got in the way. Re: diff for ecotec'd wagon

yeah thought about a scorpion diff but ruled it out due to: no lsd/lockers (bar welding it up), limited ratios, minimal after market parts, availability, strength (Stronger then sigma but may want to supercharge/'work' ecotec later, scorp diff strength comes into play). I'm also tired of doing thing...

diff for ecotec'd wagon

HI guys, I've read through some some other posts re diff options. I was looking along the lines of a BW VS commo. My only other thoughts are: Skyline (maybe narrower) a VL turbo or VK v8 diff (harder to find/more expensive) Hilux (have to change to discs etc) something else? I already have a diff fr...

engine mounts rubber or urethane

A quick google search has indicated urethane transfers more vibration into the rest of the chassis/driveline as most of our cars are 20 years +, does this actually make a noticeable difference? (like vibrations with the balance shaft elimination (I couldn't feel any difference)) I'm using new engine...
