Re: Granny Spec Galant Goes Bosozoku
Yeah i was very suprised with how its coming up. Certainly has been resprayed on a few panels at some point in acrylic or enamel without a clear over base spray...
If only it wasn't becoming my daily i would just respray it in something wicked.. Nonetheless i'm so keen to get into this old girl!

yeah looks like it was progressing quite well! keen to see where it goes now. So the original colour is the one shown in the earlier photos i'm assuming? Should look nice with a fresh lick of paint! Love new paint..

very good to hear that mate! i still can't make my mind up on what to pour the most money into out've four cars... /car problems.
Re: Teaser
ohh it makes more sense now, no worries at all. Yeah i will have to check it out one time when i'm down south a bit more.. (4hrs north of brisbane).
Re: Teaser
yeah i know that.. obviously a battery being relocated to the rear would need to be vented to atmosphere anyway to be legal. each to their own.

Re: VTEC fitted into a galant
could be hopes and dreams but might be a reality depending on coin in the future. also the f20c's are good in boosted form! seen quite a few f20c's pushing out over 500hp on a stock bottom end. They are basically the 2j of the Honda engine lineup. Turboing a honda motor is where the real fun is at h...

Re: VTEC fitted into a galant
I've got a h22a vtec and manual from a prelude which was my old project where now i'm ditching the shell but keeping the motor and gearbox.... don't give me ideas to mate it to a s2000 gearbox and drop it in the galant! lol.
Re: Teaser
not taking a chop or anything mate, but would it have been better to relocate the battery to the boot for more engine space or is it to much hassle overall?

Re: Granny Spec Galant Goes Bosozoku
Managed to get the lowers completely welded in, skim of bog applied and just need to get it flat as possible after Christmas.. Then time to high fill prime, block, repeat until good and spray the guard finally. Then its time for a roadworthy! Oh one other thing i have to fix is the drivers side wind...

thanks guys! yeah is certainly a plus it runs and starts so quick.. very happy with the pickup. and i'm not going the extreme boso you see on a few cars in the motherland.. simply going for heaps of low, hang ring, deep dish 14" wheels, small boso pipes etc. with the current laws in this countr...

Re: 1976 LA Lancer 4g63t Build
certainly looks like a tight fit but looks like it works! what size turbo you going to be running on this? main reason i ask is if i was to do a 4g63t conversion in the future into my gc galant i was wondering if whether people putting some decent horsepower to the ground decided to reinforce their ...

Granny Spec Galant Goes Bosozoku
Hey Guys, I thought it was about time i made my own build thread on my recently acquired 1975 GC Galant. Picked this old girl up for a bargain! Originally resided in the Brisbane area also! Now once the galant had arrived to my place i had to inspect it in person for my self. Had a good old look aro...

Re: Types of 4g63
Simply just run a 4g63t sohc motor from a starion as they're pretty cheap and still fairly easy to find.. and cause you have the wideblock you can run the starion gearbox or even a rx7 box once you get the right bellhousing adaptor. Also if you wanted to.. running the starion block you can also put ...

Re: GD rat
I certainly don't mind the rat look that's for sure, just got to pull it off well is all. I would be saying to get it as low as possible with some fat 8" wide wheels or wider and it would look certainly unique. Amazing how a set of wheels and the stance of a vehicle can really make it stand out...

Re: Our 1975 GC Hardtop (pic heavy and epic read!)
As stated on Facebook previously; * Fix the damage * Get it painted (i like the idea of grey, but i would go down more the R32 GTR gunmetal Grey side) * Low on some Jap 14's like an SSR or Work wheel (if that suits brake wise) * Stroke the 4G63 and fit ITB's * Fit kameari GT seats (look them up if ...

Re: Help - Durable paint options
Essentially i prefer to sand all the clear off a "clear over base" sprayjob. Doesn't necessarily need to go back to primer or metal otherwise i would just paintstrip it all. Simply once you have repaired what you wanted to.. etch prime, then lay down a proper primer surfacer or high fill p...
