defiantly not possible to bore out a 2 liter block to a 2.6, the 2 liter block casting has a physical gap between the cylinder wall castings ( as cottees mentions above ) on the 2.6 the cylinder walls are butted right up to each other, if you have 2 blocks, a factory 2 liter and a 2.6 pop the welche...

as far as i know with efi theres a lesser chance of it falling out of tune? not sure how true the " oh carbies fall out of tune all the time " statement is, but least with an EFI set up where everything is controlled by pretty much an intake air temp sensor, an o2 sensor and a Throttle bod...

i didnt have much luck finding any universal fit after market ones that would fit without minimal work, best bet is to get a second hand one out of a younger car like a GN :thumpsup: same set up

some one else may of had more luck or may have more to say on this ?
