Re: little hulk
I still think a non mivec 6a12 with aftermarket cams, GT2871r with crossover pipe, PS1000 running a eflex sensor would hall ass. 10psi on 98 and 20psi on e85. Boost at 3krpm & 250+kw.

I know crank case ventilation is important but maby not that much.
PS Do you have any pics on the process of fitting the rear flairs? Eg Joining the inner arch to the 1/4 panel once you had cut it.

Its up on jack stands getting a w57 gearbox fitted ready for the new years racing. I've got some new Dunlop semi's ready to go and with luck will be ready to race post xmas.
Fingers crossed to hydrolic clutch change over is a smooth one.

Re: recently picked up 4g63t NEW PROJECT
In the end its your car but stroking the motor is a waste of money IMO. Even with stock rods and crank a 4g63t can make 250kw+ with almost no lag. My car will light up the rears (Dunlop semi's) in 3rd gear if you don't feed the power on smoothly and it only has 200rwkw. Look up some of the power the...

If your going to effort of a coilover rear end you would really need to go a full 5 link rear end. A lot of work involved.

Re: Another VR4 Conversion Starter/Flywheel Issue
Bit of a pain the whole thing is back together. My money is on the flywheel dia being different. The 4g6x 6 bolt flywheel come in 3 size's. RWD, FWD and AWD. Each one is different.

Update 2 I made it to Winton for a test run again. Car would not get close to hooking up until 3rd gear which was fun. Anyway got a few pics and a couple of video's for you to enjoy. http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c168/jimmyrex/20140712_135346_zps58e412e4.jpg http://i27.photobuck...

Re: 1977 GD Galant racecar build. (on the cheap)
Update. Made it to the dyno at long last. Now running 17psi and pump e85 for safety. Was smooth sailing other than the dump pipe restricting flow so that was a nice change. Tuner was Rob at Sabbadin automotive who did an amazing job. My cheap ass cars can be PITA to work on so im glad he didn't kill...

Re: Creating fender flares
Just want to make sure everyone knows that whats on the car at the moment is expandable foam, it is very easy to shape and sand to shape, this is fairly easy, once you have the right shape on all four flares you then have to use body filler over the faom and sand down till its perfect, then spray t...

So you have the 7 bolt fly wheel with the small port head and square (4 bolt) thermostat housing? I've not seen an NA one with oil squirters in them. However! You don't need them. Im not running them in my car and never have! Please note. The NA pistons are 9:1 comp and have the top ring closer to t...

There is a thread about that shows how to make a stock diff into a basic LSD. Need to put a spring between the pinon gears from memory. I cant find the thread but i remember it being a simple low cost mod.

Re: LSD diff/ diff centre for ga galant
Found it in a box under a pile of crap. Pulled it down and cleaned all parts to see what state it is in. It will need new bearings of course but plates and ring gear etc are in great condition. Ratio is 3.9:1. I would recomend taking it to a diff expert to shim it all up unless you know how to aline...
