New style ignition module
Is there a newer slimmer style module we can use in place of the big alloy thing? Surely so?
I've seen *sigma modules on eBay really tiny but would they work? ?

Re: 4g32 forklift engine?
No. You may have to just put in a spigot bearing or worst case swap the flywheel.
They will have different intake. And Different mount points by a couple of mm but you can make it work

Re: Astron running lean
did you prime the engine with coolant? hot spot?
do you think you could have a bad head gasket?
are you positve you are overheating and not just a higher voltage temp guage?

Sounds like you have the wrong pulley size, wrong belt or the bearings need to be lubed.

Swapped out the 2 primary main 96.5 jets with 110's today and helped a million.
I just want to know what plugs people are running? is there any better quality ones we can use like iridium or anything?

Re: Altenators
Ok so pre work for new alternator I have started. I just installed an internal regulator onto my current alternator as I had it lying around so I was able to remove the current external one and the wiring. I was going to replace the main lead to the battery but ive discovered it runs up the loom to ...

One other question. An internally regulated alternator, does that mean I can remove the regulator on the strut tower and just have single wire going to the charge light?

GD Sedan / GC & GD Coupe HID Conversion. Amazing.
So after working out im going to need to put a bigger alternator in for my landing lights, I worked out that I really don't want to put any more stress on my little 1.6 so I went with converting to halogen first. Turns out I had a bunch of spare conversion 5.75 inch headlights but only had one high ...

Just get seals at your local. They are sold separately but if you have to get a kit just change bearings while you are there

Re: aircon removal?
2 ways.
1= cut the belt that runs the compressor
2= remove the compressor, hoses, radiator, condensor, wiring, evaporator, fan unit, and replace with a standard unit.
Id go with option 1

Re: Need help! (4g32 timing)
put engine on TDC #1 and there will be a mark in the dizzy. Point the rotor to it. that is your "zero" degrees. Then you need a timing light. Get someone to turn it over while you shine it on the crank and you will see where it is exactly.

They are just grinding the lobes, but they said the cap dowls are not in the best nick but they don't want to grind them as they will be loose in the head. Wanted to see if there was an alternative solution.

OK so thinking change of plan. I found some H4 conversion sets amount my 'stuff' so i threw them in the outers AND inners. The inners currently still only work with high beam but i'm thinking of converting to run all 4 lights on low beam and high beam, using just the wiring from the outer to trigger...
