Re: Astron Boys Turbo Gen 1 Magna Wagon

Will be going even better after tonight, so long as it doesnt rain.

Friends bringing his wide band over, going to do some drive and tuning.
Was part of the way through calibrating the sensors last night,

rest of the body is now 2-tone, cleaned up a bit. Not perfect, but doubt the car ever will be.

Re: Workshop Manuals in PDF

Appologies to all.
I have yet to start again on this project.
! month on, and I haven't really gained personal time to sit and scan.
I will get to it, and will post up when the first section of the GH manual is up.

Thanks to all who appreciate the site and time.

Re: Cottees' Sigma GN Build

I haven't messed around with my Magnas Astron motor for a while. But that heat range and gap is just too high and narrow. I would have thought the stock plug to be BP5ES 1.1 Plug being recomended their is more likely to be used in a VR4 Galant, and is what's recomended for my RVR... :wut: edit: weir...

Re: 84GKSIG slow build - EFI

As an insight, factory Magna EFI reads only off 2 cylinders to begin with, so point A is acceptable.
However, if going after market, Point B with a 4 wire would be more suited.

Re: The imported jap-spec GJ GSR 1984 (MOVED BACK!)

That is good news.

Was sad to hear about this almost 5 months ago when a similar issue arose with Flav.

Atleast you're on the way to getting some rectification.

Still sucks about the loss though.

Re: Astron Boys Turbo Gen 1 Magna Wagon

That dyno was done well before the setup that can be seen now. The previous specs are shown at the top of the chart, and were near factory. The tiny turbo came on boost at about 1250rpm and died at 4500. The piping was only about 2" to the plenum, and the tune was mocked up in 5 secs by a frien...

Hey Luke

I note you have a vacuum hose coming from the plenum itself -after the TB- to the fuel reg

I was told to have the fuel reg connected off the TB with the boost gauge...

Make a difference?
