Re: GD stabilizer mounts

It will depend on the thickness of the stabiliser bar too. Wagons and coupes run a thicker bar.

Meh, as long as it gets scooby491 the info they were after. Yeah, the plastic recirculation cannisters are scary but the metal ones run risk of rusting from the inside out - between a rock and a hard place...

Re: Wiper Slack

The nylon cups that hold the link 'balls' are prone to coming apart from age. I've been thinking about how to go about reconditioning them and the only feasible way I can see is grind off the ball socket from the wiper link, and make new control linkages from thin rods with left and right threaded e...

Re: what is this device?

That would be this gadget here - the fuel recirculation cannister. They were on a lot of the early Mitsubishis so getting one shouldn't be that hard. The other option is to replace the fuel pump with a dual outlet unit (it supplies fuel to both the fuel bowl and the accelerator enrichment pump on th...

Re: New Member- '78 Lb lancer 4door

Welcome to sigma-galant CJettGeorge. All things being, your Lancer sedan looks like it's in not too bad shape. Good ones are getting thin on the ground as are all of the early Mitsubishis. You going to swap up to a 5 speed as well? The 2.6 will wind out in the lightweight Lancer in no time. Plenty o...

Re: 4G32 Rocker gear advice?

I have seen rockers wear out badly (I mean badly ) If you are not sure how bad they really are, back off one of the tappets completely then get a hold of the rocker while it is off lift. If you can twist it or jiggle it up and down from the rocker shaft it is fragged (you'll know right away if this ...

Re: Am I the only one...

There has been a lot of counterfeit MSD gear popping up on the various internet vending sites. It's hard to spot the difference between the genuine article and the shite. Besides, neanderthal tech is easy to fault diagnose, easy to set up and easy to fix. Old school for the win! (H)

Re: hello i'm new and i wanna build my sigma(help)

It's coming together nicely. Unfortunately a lot of guys mess with the adjusting screws on carbies not knowing what they do, and it ends with the engine running like a pig. I would go over the whole carby and tighten the (remaining) screws on the bowl cover and check the mounting bolts that hold it ...

It won't have that much impact to HP but it's a start if you are chasing it. Pull the head off it and clean up the ports as this will help it perform better. Use a bigger carby from another Mitsubishi (well, bigger jetted anyway) like a 1.8 litre non turbo Cordia or a Nimbus. If I was going to go ba...

The GH Sigma turbo set up is solid. Guys don't understand the CD175 carby and think that it's junk or something but they work brilliantly with this draw through turbo set up. And they are capable of making sooo much more power if you know what you're doing with it. The factory carby can support over...

They are set up for use on a 4G32 Saturn engine so unfortunately they are not going to work on the 4G63/G63B engine. Be warned that this style of intake is hard to keep in tune and is not very road friendly to drive with (they require engine modifications to optimise performance and will use a lot m...

Re: hello i'm new and i wanna build my sigma(help)

The engine looks like it's a 4G63 / G63B 2 litre. It also looks like it's running the Hitachi carby - we got the Mikuni style carby. There's no anti-pollution garbage hanging off it either (HOORAY!). Bin the Hitachi carby and see if you can find a 32/63 Weber carby, they are a popular performance up...
