Re: New daily 2001 Mitsi Challenger - any tips?

Apologies, haven't been on the forum in a long time so didn't see your post. The challenger is epic! So much car for the money and still going strong at 270k on the clock. I've towed cars, building supplies, and even a Massey Ferguson 35 Tractor :). I'm hoping PB challengers come down in price a bit...

Re: GJ Sigma Wagon Rear end questions

Update: Just took one of the rear shocks out and it's pretty much seized :(. So maybe the springs are fine. Anyone know whether GJ/GK Sedan rear shocks are different to wagons? I have two spare sets in the shed from what i think are either GH or GK sedan rear ends left over from Scorpion diff conver...

GJ Sigma Wagon Rear end questions

Hey guys, It's been a while! Looks like I'll be back crusin a Siggy as a new daily but first I need to sort a couple of things. Can anyone help me with the dimensions for standard rear springs? I picked up a wagon yesterday and driving it feels like I'm on the KI ferry - It bounces constantly. Bloke...

Welcome mate! Put up some pics if you get a chance and let the guys know what car you own/have owned. You'd be surprised how many people I come across from Shepparton. A little known fact - in the 70s in Shepparton a Colt 1000f was turned into a drag car with a V8 Hemi dropped in it, and right now a...

First thread I've read in ages - why did I pick this one! Sittin on the fence, newly registered on a Sigma forum posting up a pics giving the Astron Motor the finger will no doubt put noses out of joint. Jase being a passionate Mitsi man can sometimes get fired up in defence of the logo too though s...

Yeah they made a Minica Pick-up in the early 60's http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/8/86/Mitsubishi_Minica_Truck.jpg/800px-Mitsubishi_Minica_Truck.jpg The Ute needs some major welding if a restoral is on the cards but the beauty of SA rego is I'm in no rush now that is has been giv...

Re: Cool and Ugly at the same time - The Colt Bakkie

I've had it maybe 6-12 months Leigh. Bought it based on the owners word and pics and description - had it trucked down from North QLD. Unfortunately the pics don't show how poor condition it's in - pretty bad rust :(. I'm not happy with the owners at all as they never mentioned anything bad about th...

Re: Cool and Ugly at the same time - The Colt Bakkie

Yeah more cabin room to go along with the longer doors would help too! I've only driven mine 3 times - once to get it inspected for SA rego and twice to sort my historic rego. They feel so small inside!

Yeah true, strange design! Not much room in the cabin at all. That white one looks in better nick than mine. I should get mine out for better pics at some point.....

Re: L300 Lsd centre into Scorpion

Can't comment on the LSD component but the rear diff centre out of an "SA" Model L300 fits into the GK Scorpion and provides a much better ratio than standard Scorpion Centre. CIG Locker with Scorpion Axles in a Sigma = WIN!

Re: Negative Pulse Central Locking??

Thanks mate, might check it out. Feel like I'm so close though! I can get the doors to lock when I turn the alarm on as it gives an earth to the Input Lock wire. Turning the alarm off doesn't unlock though - to do that I need to touch the unlock wire to a new earth. I need to figure out how to send ...

Re: Negative Pulse Central Locking??

Thanks for the reply mate! I'm no good with electrics so hopefully can make sense. The Red/Black wire from the alarm is Earthed when the alarm is on. To test this I ran a test light from the positive on the battery to that wire and the light was on when the alarm was on. When the alarm was off the t...

Negative Pulse Central Locking??

Hey guys, My new daily has an old Mongoose alarm and it has one wire dedicated to Central Locking. I bought a generic Central Locking Kit and the instructions are great, I'm just having trouble getting it to work! I'll break it into 2 parts: The Alarm Has one Red/Black wire and according to the manu...

Just remembered another one from the pre-digital camera days when we were too broke and too dumb to hire a car trailer! I snapped a tailshaft uni doing ringys in Seaford Industrial estate. The Turbo Scorline had to tow me home :) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v65/SHIFTA/gettingtowed_zpsfd910e89....

Show me your badge Collections!

Not a for sale thread, just keen to see what people have got. Been collecting for many years, Swap meets, various cars I've owned, Ebay, UPI back when there were thousands of Mitsis around and no one cared about them :). I'll add in the disclaimer that I've never badged a car in my life ( an absolut...
