Re: Automatic to manual conversion
GE sigma have either a BW diff or Jap 8 bolt. Either way, the flange is different to the later 10 bolt Jap diffs in the GH onward Scorps, along with a different bolt size. While I would normally point you to Shaun (Scorpion Collector), his recent passing has been a sever blow to all of us in the Sig...

Re: Automatic to manual conversion
[quoteJust had a bit more of a think on this and the tailshaft will be an issue either way. Best scenario is that you are going to be using a Jap 5-speed gearbox, because the correct tailshaft will be easy to locate. BW box to Jap diff isn't standard but Jap box to Jap diff is. ][/quote] thanks mate...

Automatic to manual conversion
Was just wondering how easy to do?.
Car I may be getting is a GJ scorp (auto).Already have the engine and gearbox (GN manual).
I would naturally have been looking for a manual one but the body on this one is so good.
Cheers!

Re: Scorpion LSD options
Why don't you think laterally.>? there is plenty of blokes that have done turbo conversions on KE 30' and 55's ...including doing the the diff, those things have a track width comparable to ours. In Brisbane for example there was a corolla owner (last week) who had done the lot , 4AGE turbo /forged ,...

Carby turbo E85
Just wondering is any one has done a carby turbo conversion using BioFlex for the added octane rating?
(Theres a servo 1km away here that sells it )
Or maybe even if you can?!
Cheers

4G63 questions
Hi all!. I am considering purchasing a car that has had a 4G63 transplant done (its a turbo). Its had a sigma trans mated up and it has a problem or 2. I know hardly anything about the 63's. The main one that bothers me is that he says theres an oil leak in the tappet cover area . Apparently its a pr...

...actually same colour as my LC too.Side trim is identical. I think serious buyers go a lot on how they,ve been maintained . By that i mean clutch, brakes, amount of panel damage, condition of the trim (e.g the chrome), paint and the interior. (Where is the rust breaking out?!).Being orange it will...

Re: VTEC fitted into a galant
...has someone actually test fitted the mivec 4G92 in one yet????Theres a lot of space behind the LC's head Cotts.Being a 1.6 also i wonder if Mitsubishi kept the same bell housing bolt pattern.
Then again i guess the starter config would be a prob too.

Re: VTEC fitted into a galant
Interesting, but personally I find VTECs or any VVT type system stupid and unreliable. Just more parts to go wrong. Also I wouldn't take too much notice of what the mighty car mods guys do (even though they are hilarious) since they pretty much put out videos for ricers to fap over. The turbo mx5 i...

Re: 4G32 1600 Flat spot -running problems
They reckon the condensor was stuffed and the points too.The spark i saw actually meant it was stuffed because it is supposed to discharge when you turn the key off.The listed fuelmiser part is nothing like the one it is replacing...the thing has 2 leads?..I had to chase around and eventually found ...

Thanks. I put the old coil in no better ,the capacitor seems alright.
Condensor is that inside is it hard to replace yourself?.
The only thing i can detect is a lot of white ash like material around the dissy cap in connection point from the coil when i pull it out>?

Hi Bad-Sig
After the head came back from putting the gear in ,he gave me a cam seal and i just drove it in with a block of wood and hammer .i think i used a drill bit end to knock it in until it wouldnt travel any further to be sure. Its been fine .
It was a brand new head though ,Cheers
