Re: [SA] Cruise/Meetup

Hi All, I have been offered an EVO X from a colleague for the day of the cruise. Is that okay instead of the Scorp?

Re: Newbie w/Sapporo

Gidday Mate, well done on the Sapporo, looks great. My two 82 Scorps both have retractable rear belts on the outside seats.

Also http://www.mitsibits.com.au/ have a couple of Scorps in stock and could probably help you out with various "Aussie" parts.

Interesting that the photo with the most votes is a girl in a bikini doing a handstand. Can't recall seeing a car but I guess it was there ?!?!?

Anyways I am not eligible, so I will keep voting for all of you. Good luck.

Re: Whos up for a Melb cruise?

Hi all, this is a great idea and while I will be unable to make any run for a couple of months due to home reno's I have started and must finish, I would be more than happy to cruise across the border another time. As for places to go may I suggest Tim Neville Arboretum @ Bayswater (loads of parking...

Re: GK Scorp Project

I went looking for a 2nd Scorp for the girls and found this Scorp in Maryborough Vic...so went and picked it up yesterday. Okay so it was 14 hours of driving return trip, but the adventure is half the fun of the project. http://www.blobbyfish.com/jf/Scorp.jpg . I gave it a wash, replaced the rear li...

Re: GK Scorp Project

Hey mate, haven't started body work yet, still have a couple of years to get that done I guess. I have a spare motor and trans from the donor car so will do a standard rebuild on both, keep it simple, keep them safe. They now consider the Scorp officially "cool" and are happy for it to be ...

Re: GK Scorp Project

Since my last post I have now refitted the interior with good trim, fixed up rear suspension and done other bits and pieces. My eldest daughter has now informed me that when she gets her license the Scorp will be her car to drive....NICE :blah: When I first got the car with the wiring hanging out, f...

JV's GK Scorp AKA Bitsamissing

Okay so I had another post which was wordy and had no pictures. Here is the story in pictures: I bought this Scorp on ebay and drove it home registered - only problem no top gear, or so I thought... http://www.blobbyfish.com/jf/IMG_3678.JPG It was being sold with what was decsribed as minor damage, ...

Re: GK Scorpion Project

Hello again, okay so as I discovered the silver Scorp was held together by paint so it was stripped and I scored a lot of good parts from it. This means my red Scorp is now the only project and the garage is filling with Scorp bits to start and complete the job. I have uploaded pics to the Just Cars...

Re: GK Scorpion Project

Funny mistake that would be, especially seeing the chassis number is not recorded on the registered car...but no, won't be doing that. Great news though, the GL Scorpion is defected for noise and missing side lights according to the police. They said bring it in once that is fixed and the worst thin...

Re: GK Scorpion Project

Since my last post I have bought a second Scorpion, this time a GL Auto. Purchased complete from the wreckers for $800 including delivery. This one is straighter, great engine and transmission and has about 90% of the bits I need for my GK. Only problem is it may be better than my GK Scorpion. Even ...

Re: GK Scorpion Project

Hi C_Fernance, Yeah saw that one on ebay, but more after an original resto, than a modified. I am also hoping that a standard box will be a hell of a lot cheaper. Thanks for your feedback, I really do appreciate the help and it will make getting this car back on the road a lot easier. All the best, ...

Re: GK Scorpion Project

Hi Superscan811, thanks for the info on the auto. Yes it would be great to get my hands on your engine and trans. The engine in the Scorpion at the moment is performing a perpetual oil change. It appears to be just rocker cover though so shouldn't be an hard fix. I have been offered a complete Scorp...

GK Scorpion Project

Hi everyone, I just bought a GK Scorpion on ebay for $355. Picked in up in Adelaide already registered and drove it home. The auto transmission only had no top gear and top speed was 55 kph after which the rev counter would just wind up to 5K with no gain in road speed. Having pulled the trans out t...
