Re: I'm New! Nate from America!

Hi Nate,

Welcome to the site. Great looking 16L/Dodge Colt you have there.
Wish they were sold here in Aus as I prefer them over over my '76 model hardtop.

Re: A53 16L

Do you know if the owner used to work for Mitsubishi? A few of us from the site were talking to a bloke from Adelaide, who was working on the Mitsubishi stand at last years Sydney motor show, who told us he had one and that he used to work for Mitsubishi. I've always liked the 16L's and that's a ver...

Those GTO seats look really good in it, you lucky bastard Jas. The gearbox also looks good but not sure if it will always stay that colour.

Re: Historic or New GA/B rally/race paint schemes.

You might be surprised how much fun you can have in motorkhanas ... and it's a dirt cheap form of motorsport. Will improve your driving ability heaps, too. Yep, that's why I do motokhana's. Dave, your LC would be more than capable of handling a tarmac motokhana as is. I ran Tre04z's LC in a couple ...

Seriously, spend your money on entry fees rather than cosmetic stuff ... do as many events as you possibly can !
I agree. Maybe fix up any bad bits of rust so you don't have any trouble with scrutineering, but don't waste your time re-shelling it.

That is a great looking hardtop you have. I remember seeing it for sale and last year and wishing I had the money for it at the time.

Are you sticking with the original carbie from the 4G62?

I know what you mean about the steering. Mine is the same. I think the steering boxes on the Galant's are adjustable to get rid of the play in the steering.

My dad added half a leaf but think he turned the half leaf upside down and fitted for memory 2 inch lowering blocks. When I did a motokhana on a wet skid pan a couple of months ago, the car would not axle tramp which I was quite impressed with. I can't remember for sure what shocks are in the rear b...

As for an S-G one, we should try to start organising a date.

He bought a 4G63 from an L300 and sourced the pistons, cam and carb's from Kempy's wreckers in NZ. This was atleast 20 years ago.

Sounds like what you are after is the same as what my dad used to have in his old GB. It was a 4G63 GS motor with flat top pistons, cam, and twin solex carbies putting out about 100kw, all off a early Sapporo GSR from NZ. Unfortunately these motors weren't sold in Aus and are getting hard to find ev...

They are the correct PCD for a Galant and 15's should fit without a problem. At a guess the offset shouldn't be a problem either but the best way to know is to measure it but as GTO said you can fit spacers.
