Re: Make my g32b go harder...
The G32B responds well to a bit of port matching and cleaning up of the inlet manifold and side of the head. Kill off the EGR junk by blocking the EGR gallery under #3 inlet port as this ruins tuneability and how smooth the engine runs and idles. The stock carby can be tricked up to improve mid rang...

Re: 4G32 Mitsubishi Distributor vs. Bosch Distributor
Your idle is a little on the high side VG - or is this the accuracy issue you mentioned? The tacho needle jumping around indicates there is something causing a misfire. When you get this ignition fault nailed down your engine should run sweet

Re: 4G32 Mitsubishi Distributor vs. Bosch Distributor
What's your coil like? Coils have a tendency to exhibit misfire and ragged running when they're tired. An oil filled coil is probably "o.k." for 10-15 years of normal driving. Get a new coil: I'd recommend a Bosch GT40'T' coil - http://www.nahux.com/NPOWER/PICS/IGNITION/GT40T.jpg ...and al...

With it installed? If so there is something really wrong. It should feel smooth between lobes when the points aren't 'breaking'. Just out of curiousity, what ignition glitches are you experiencing?VGJONO wrote:Ok so being able to spin it left or right by a cm or so isnt bad

Side to side play (lateral). It will do funky things with dwell angles and can also mess with rotor/distributor cap contact.

They are a direct swap and one isn't any better than the other. If the cam lobes for the points are worn or the shaft has play in it, it won't operate at its best...

^ +1 on that. With the front end fresh and tight they give good feedback and have predictable road manners. I ran 15 x 7's with low profiles and +40 offset (bump steering was 'entertaining' at times but overall it handled like a go-kart. I have driven a new car with 'electric assist' power steering ...

Re: Another engine for the Triton.
The main aim of the porting was to get the port sizes more even from the manifold to the combustion chamber. From a few of the shots of the ports, you can still see some of the casting marks. Going bigger in diameter would help the top end but there would be a big penalty to pay, losing low down to...

Re: carby hoses to nowhere
Ohhhh-kay, that's different. This carby doesn't belong in the LB Lancer (to be honest I can't identify what type it is other than it 'looks' like a Mikuni Solex). That grubby bit of clear braided hose with the bolt in it it supposed to be either the fuel return or a fuel primer/accelerator inlet. Th...

Plenty of Colts in the local "U-PULL-IT" wreckers here. They are so unloved but one day might find their way as an alternative to the usual pick of the bunch.

Re: Creating fender flares
I like the look of the flares lchilds. IMO the 'less is more' approach will be the recommendation - oh, and add a duck bill to the front (and keep the Galant green, it gives it some of that 'race heritage' feel). It will make the whole thing tie in together and make it complete

Re: What cars came out with Belt Drive 4G32
^ I should've added there is a difference between the 2 types of belt drive 32's. The early Saturns have a wider head. AFAIK LC Lancer hatches came out with the 4G32B, some Galants (GD?) had the belt drive engine and the GK Sigma 'Satellite' also ran these engines as well. If I got it wrong someone ...

Re: What cars came out with Belt Drive 4G32
There are 2 types of belt driven 1600's too - the 4G32B and the G32B. The 4G32B are the early Saturn belt drives. The later ones (G32B) came out on FWD Colts and as Jordan has mentioned, the AA series Cordia GSL (later GSL Cordias used G62B 1.8's).
