Re: 4g63 g/box onto 4g52?
The gearbox from a L200 will be narrow block as the ran both the 4G52 and narrow 4G63, however; they also run much larger input and output shafts so your stock clutch and tailshaft wont fit. You can use the fly, pressure plate and clutch from the L200 but you will need the front yoke on your tailsha...

Re: GC Red Rufus
The GC that i have was a manual, also it doest have the centre console around the gear stick as my GD does. i might change that over depending on what mods i have to do to the trans tunnel to get the 5sp to fit. the sigma is a GH and just to clarify i will need the excelerator cable, the engine mou...

Re: GC Red Rufus
Don't the 5 speed's from the GH (or GE) come with the short extension housing on the gearbox? I thought it was only GJ (Sigma) onwards that had the longer extension? Correct, but as these cars are chasing 40 years old, you never know and I thought it was worth mentioning. I have a GH Scorpion here ...

Re: GC Red Rufus
Looks like a good pick up over all, nice one  The Sigma/Scorpion mounts that should come with the engine will be fine. Yes, you will need to get the tail shaft modded. Best way is to grab the Scorpion tail shaft and have the rear yoke changed to suit the Galant diff, and shortened if neede...

Chassis is the same as the L300 vans. Sigmas, Galants and the like are uni body and have very little in common besides the engine and gearbox.

Hums along happily at 110kph in 5th, will get under it next weekend (to add lowering blocks, lol) and check diff ratio. Going to the local U Pull It wreckers, they have a L200 and a L300 so I c...

Re: L200 Vs L300
Cheers guys, think mine is a recreational model, doesn't have a tacho but does scream at 100kph in 5th like my mates L300 does in 4th, lol Not really bothered about performance just an easy 5 stud conversion for a better range of wheels. Having said that, i do have my eye on a really nice set of 16&...

L200 Vs L300
Anyone know for sure, preferably done it, if L300 Axles will fit in a L200 rwd diff?
And, will L300 front hubs fit on L200 stubs?
Basically I want to swap my L200 to 5 stud, pretty much just for a better range of wheels and offsets.

New daily.
1982 L200. 4G63, 5 speed, 2wd, dual fuel. Tidy old ute, one previous old farmer owner. No real plans for it other than a quick clean up, maybe a little low and some wheels and turn it into my daily. https://scontent.fadl1-1.fna.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpf1/v/t1.0-9/12647164_10153511099756676_9154268369119...

Re: 4G54 Timing Chain installation
On the very outer rim of the cam gear just before the teeth the should be a small dimple, maybe 2mm across. This needs to be at the top when the crank is at TDC.
I have a few cam wheels around, let me go grab a picture

Pretty sure there have been posts over the last 5 maybe 8 years on this site about the tunability of the Mitsi ECU. I would have assumed someone of your alleged stature would have been well aware of this.
