@JimmyG
Is that to suit an 8 bolt diff? Would it suit GC?
If no response from Lumley93 I would be very thankful to use that in my GC touring car.

From what I have been told and understand, No (in a nut shell).
I looked at this option, however aftermarket computer is pretty much a must.

Re: LSD diff/ diff centre for ga galant
I know people who have used air lockers in rally cars and they work quite well. Car wasn't a Galant though and not sure of running gear.
I have a shortened Hilux LSD in my LC with 3.475:1 ratio, works a pearl, and exceptionally strong, only problem is a bit more heavy.

Re: wanted: picture of bottom side body
I just had a look under mine. I cannot see the two extra bolt holes you describe.
I have the rubber stopper just above the diff, but no other bolt holes. There is a single hole that goes through the floor, where the wiring for the fuel gauge go through but that is it.

Re: 1974 LA Lancer Classic Rally Build
Just found this thread (dont check here much) and this is fantastic. Few questions (might have read over them and missed it) 1 - What rear suspension arm setup are you running? Leafs, 4 link, 5 link, panard rod, watts link? 2 - How much are the front MCA's setting you back? I'm looking at getting Bi...

That will be a 1977 model, or the LB hatch that we got here.
Can tell by slightly different hatch (glass a bit smaller) and the bumpers.
Interesting to see these things can still wow.

Turbo's top vs bottom mount
Hey guys, I'm looking into building a 4g63 rwd track car. I want to keep it simple and relatively cheap (ie stock engine/ecu). However few places I have seen different engines/manifolds for sale and some are top mount turbo's and some are bottom. I know factory is bottom mount, was just wondering if...

One would assume it is probably the same gearbox from the Galant's if it is a factory Auto LC.
I have no proof of this but assuming it as they were both 4G32's.

Re: It's time for another NSW cruise...
Ill be at a rally with my beast on the 23rd, but will try and make it back for part of the cruise (maybe about lunch time) on the Sunday.
It will most likely not be in show and shine condition. But still hot to look at/listen.

Re: It's time for another NSW cruise...
Im keen for an event too. Sundays are best for me and just not the 23rd (car will be at a rally) or the 31st (Easter). Wisemans was good, maybe something past windsor along putty road. But no defined end point along here as it loops all the way to Broke and Cessnock... Or even Windsor Maccas meet, t...

How did you go with this?
Im looking for an electronic ignition module of some sort. Had a JayCar kit in there for the last 3 years but then my friend accidentally shorted it out when he rewired the car
Standard points have been playing up ever since.

Are the S13 parts (hubs/brakes) similar to the s14 or s15?

But trying to get car engineered so not sure if cross will hinder my chances. Need to talk to engineer, if i...

Re: Evo vs VR-4 engines
Doesnt bother me with which way the intake/exhaust is.
Interested in them as a whole.
Might go VR-4 as they are cheaper, and if much of muchness I can just get it retuned if I feel the need for more power.

Re: how much do i need?
More coats of clear will never hurt. I painted my car and got 4 cans of pressure pack primer, then used about 2L of white, 1L of black, 500ml red and 100ml of silver. Put at least 4 coats of clear over that and it was about 2L. Last coat is thinned down quite a bit (at panel beaters advice) to give ...

Re: HELP: GN LCA's into GH, What tierods?
I put GH LCA's on my LC and then got the tie rod adjuster from it to suit. I noticed that the GH adjusters were 20mm longer than my LC ones. However I needed 2 cars as they only had one long one per car. They were 130mm as opposed to the 110mm of my LC or GC ones. (plus the nut on either end) Had th...

Evo vs VR-4 engines
Hey guys, this is sorta a overall question but thought I would put it here. Researching difference between Evo's and VR-4's, without going into everything about them the main difference I can find between them is the power difference between them. VR-4's made around 177kw (6th Generation) and Evos a...
