Re: Yet another GJ Scorp.

I bought 15L of paint accessories 5L primer 5L colour (Daintree Green off the TJ Magna/KJ Verada) 5L clear This was applied on a GJ wagon (with the GJ Scorpion nose-cone on it) I kept the rest as colour match/touch up paint but there wasn't much left (can't remember how much left over but it did giv...

Re: Putting a 265 in a 78 Sigma Wagon

There was a gj sedan that had beautifully executed 265 conversion and I believe ran the std suspension setup (albeit stiffer Springs and shocks) BUT...it had a truckload of r 'n' d in it.....not to mention fab work and of course money Ull be reaping better rewards with a more oddball conversion like...

Re: conversions for 4g63 85 L200 ?

U me both....... But I not confident with the sealing if two gaskets on top of each other......if u do more searching, ppl do sell specific decompression plates (basically metal shim to raise the head and drop the compression ratio) But if ur only going to run low boost (5psi for eg), u may be able ...

Re: Brake advice (bit of a tricky one)

It's hard to visualise it without pics Going by what you said, ur car has an external proportioning valve?? I'f u use the PBR B/M/Cyl from GJ onwards (I think some GH's had them too), they had a proportioning valve inside them (N.B. the bias does vary a lil bit between sedan and wagon) As far as boo...

So what's the car's destiny?
Restore?
Track work?
1St car for someone?

Certainly sounds like a really solid foundation no matter what purpose the car is used for

The only real problem was the guards, the front half are scorpion rear half sigma, once they were done, the brackets rewelded, and the wiring sorted, I was just bolting up a scorpion

How is it a bolt in upgrade?
Cordias are fwd....unless it's an important of some kind or ur actually got ur eye on a starion.....if it's the latter, then getting the car and stripping it will be viable as they have more useful parts than just an engine/gearbox

Ahhhhhhh ull have to do some research for the definite answer but I think if u get the engine mounts from an L300 with the same block (wide or narrow)...... Then alot of the work is done

Re: LA Lancer 4g63T EVO 2 swap

I'd mount the turbo behind the rear axle personally.......u can run the turbo at a lower temp on the same boost as a high mount turbo, making it more efficient...

Ud also eliminate the amount of heat generate right next to the brake master cylinder, and ull retain alot of the engine bay room too
