Re: what ECU for astron turbo?
Interesting, but only on this forum would people endorse a $247 ECU.
The controller looks like the old mitsubishi diagnostic, Multi use tester (MUT1) from the 80's.
The features are impressive, but looks time consuming and unnessesary seeing ECU's aren't that expensive.

Got mine tuned at Maztech.
Yeah 200kw is about the limit with my cam and turbo setup.
Microtech have a "Matrix" tune option that allows fine tuning. That is why you can get your car tuned for $150 or $300+.

Is there a Bolt in LSD for a sigma?? I want to drift it.[/quote]
I remember seeing on the old site, someone found a company in china that does direct bolt on lsd kits for sigmas. And when they did a EOI nobody wanted them.

Re: Microtech LT-8
I have a LT10s on my astron. No problems with cruise, Wide Open Throttle or cold starts. Makes 200kw atw on 18psi stock t03. B4 tune used to splutter on cruise, VERY heavy on fuel etc. It all depends on who tunes your car. Honestly, most of the guys tuning cars don't give two s#!ts about sigma's and...

Re: commodore brake conversion GD coupe
. . I hope he knows he is up for bigger wheels and rubbers. I'll stick with my 13 inches. . . Isn't it obvious? If your using commo brakes/studs you would need the GM rims anyway. I'd rather put drums on the front of my car than run big discs. Wheels bigger than 14"s is just showing off, and u...

Re: Bullet Proof Diff conversion for any vehicle!
Interesting alternative. The cost of your conversion is no more or less than any other set up.
Hopefull this will reduce the amount of, "LSD in a Sigma" threads. But I doubt it will.
Well done.

Re: Recommended Turbo for Astron II 2.6L?
There's nothing wrong with the t25 flange. It just isn't a direct bolt on replacement.
You can always just buy or make an adapter.
I think ATP does a "Franky" Turbo with the mits tdo5 , they are meant to be good. I just don't know anyone that's got one but.

Re: Recommended Turbo for Astron II 2.6L?
The Garrett GT2860RS (Disco Potato) is an affordable upgrade that is suited to 2.6lt and good for up to 320Hp.
You can buy them with the option of a 0.64 exhaust housing, no lag. Only problem is they have a t25 flange.
IMHO, nothing wrong with TO4's.

Looks exactly like RAY-245's Sigma in fast four about 5-6 years ago. Only he had a LPG throttlebody instead of EFI.

Your cyl head will probably be the 1st thing that goes. ARP headstuds + 18psi will be reliable.

I haven't built the auto yet.
As for the BW. Any transmission joint can build you an auto with harder shifts. I'm not sure if you can actually manualise the BW35.

Save your money. Keep it auto and you won't be breaking diffs. And if you get a BW 5 speed, get used to changing gears with your finger inside the gearbox. The shifters love poping out of those boxes.
