Re: [SA] Event's and Cruises

So by old spot, you are referring to the one on main north rd, not the pub in gawler yes?
Looks like my mate won't be able to attend, due to the ol' ball and chain..... Other than that I'm set and will see everyone there at 2:30 :)

Sweet! Love the Arrow-decal on the hood! Was thinking about putting one of those on my Celeste but finding one is a pretty hard in Europe :s If you can have a copy made... :p When I get around to fixing rust and paint, I'll see about trying to get the decals replicated. I'll get back to you if I go...

It's great to drive. All the bushes have been done with nolothane and handles like a dream. It's far from perfect, but the originality is what I love about it. This makes the 3rd LC for me to have owned :) they are hard to find in good nic tho :)

Hi all! Just picked up my latest toy lant night. It's all original body in fairly good condition ( a little bit of rust in the usual spots ) it has a mild 2ltr with extractors and 5speed and racing seats up front. Other than that, it's all original. It even has the original radio and un touched cent...

Re: GD galant, hot house green. Aka 'The green machine'

So, fingers crossed I can get stuck into the car this weekend ( being a long one ). On the to do list: Finish modifying front seats to fit. Fit carpet properly. Start sorting out fuel tank and filler. Prep engine block/ sand and polish valve cover. I'm also thinking of modifying the pedal box to fit...

It's some type of textured card stuff. I got it from a trimming place called 'daleys' http://www.daleys.com.au/contact
They are pretty good and have heaps of cool stuff :) prices are good too

Re: GD galant, hot house green. Aka 'The green machine'

U never know, a bit of effort and they mite come up a treat :) if you have bad gutter rash, there are places that can fix them up for you, and polish them too I guess. Not sure what the cost would be tho

Re: GD galant, hot house green. Aka 'The green machine'

Ah ok, lol. They were all polished when I got them. They need to be done again now though. Just takes a bit of elbow grease and time :) depends on what your starting piece is like. I'll put some progress pics up when I start doing my valve cover ( going to make that all shiny too :D ) if it's a pret...

Re: my GD project

Lol. I didn't read that properly :p the moulds you have are they the stock ones? The after market stuff you need a tool to get it in, not 100% sure with the old stuff. Maybe use some circlip pliers or something and gently guide it in? I'm pretty sure you just need to spread the rubber and feed the s...

Re: my GD project

There is a certain technique to putting in windows with rubber seals. Don't use any glue or silicon. The way to do it is to run string ( something like the chord used for vertical blinds) inside the rubber on the edge that fits to the body. Put the rubber onto the glass Feed string into other side (...

Re: GD galant, hot house green. Aka 'The green machine'

Yep that's pretty much what I've done this time. My dash was pretty good but was starting to deteriorate. There was only one crack in the corner though. I ditched the foam all together and brought some proper motor trimming adhesive from a trimming supplier. It's pretty much quick grip. It's held fo...

Well it's been a while but time for an update :) I've re- trimmed the dash and crash pad again. Pics tomorrow :) Also got a pair of seats out of a Gemini, because I don't have a drivers seat :( but these look pretty good, just have to do a few mods to make them fit. http://i258.photobucket.com/album...

Re: Boot Dirt

Some cars have a plastic or rubber bung plug in the lower guards. Not 100% sure with galants tho. You could either use a vacuum cleaner to get pretty much all of it out, then maybe a damp cloth to clean the rest? Otherwise, drill a hole in the bottom of the panel, let it our out then I guess you cou...
