Re: GC hazards
Ah, you have a sports steering wheel mate. You need to screw the steering wheel back on and pull it off with the boss attached, that's why you can't see the screws that hold the indicator mechanism in place, lol But as I said above, I would be screwing a sharp screw, like a wood screw into that hole...

I think you are all hooked up and ready to go, just looks like someone has cut the knob off.
Try screwing a wood screw into that and see if it will pull out

Re: GC hazards
Yellow circle is JDM parkers (the block off cover on the top of your column, in Japan these had a switch to set left or right parking lights) Blue circle is the indicator and wiper loom Red circle is the hazard light loom http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee271/Galant_GTO/31-03-14_zpsde2b9538.jpg Y...

Re: GC hazards
Nope, that is for the Japanese parking lights.
Check further down the loom, there will be a thin harness that runs along side the indicator harness. I will get a pic

Re: GC hazards
Should do. As far as I have seen all Galants have the same looms. Even if you have a total pov pack it still has the wiring for a tacho, both at the dash and at the coil, has the wiring for the JDM parking lights so it should have all you need for hazards. If you need a flasher can, they are pretty ...

Re: Crazy electronics - HELP NEEDED
That is the next step Jordan, go through and check all earth wires. As it is a fresh paint job there is a chance some paint is acting as insulation.
I haven't stripped the loom yet Flashy but that will be the step after checking grounding.

Re: GC hazards
They still have the wiring in the loom for the Japanese parking lights, I think they should have the plugs and loom for hazards I would think.

Crazy electronics - HELP NEEDED
Okay, so the Scorpion is alive but the wiring is giving me massive head aches. It had an alarm fitted before and it has messed it up something shocking. As soon as you connect the battery it cranks over but won't fire. It also lights up the parking lights? There is no power to the coil until you put...

Re: GC hazards
Take the column surround of and have a look, I am pretty sure they had to have hazards to be legal. Maybe someone has broken the knob off.

Re: Programming a stock ECU
I was just thinking that down the track I would like to "hot up" my engine with a big cam, larger TB and bigger injector, maybe even a turbo down the track. So was thinking wiring and cost wise if you can get the stock ECU tuned it would make life much easier. The stock ECU in both my VR4s...

Programming a stock ECU
Okay, so I know the general rule is any mods to an efi car will require an aftermarket ECU. But, this is not always so with Mitsubishi ECU's I know that the stock 4G63 ECU can be modded and tuned to pretty much what ever you want, same goes for the 6A13 ECU What about the 4G54 ECU? Has anyone messed...

Re: What parts to use to finish off green struts
Yeah, 55mm sounds about right, pretty sure you can get 56mm kits so will work perfect. My springs are 60mm, so again 55mm sounds about right.
No need to cut the tubes for 2in, mine are still stock length and I have heaps of adjustment.

Re: What parts to use to finish off green struts
Okay, mine had been converted to coil over when I bought them but weren't finished, basically just had the landing cut off and threaded sleeve welded on. I used VB-S inserts, mine are Monroe sensortrac and find they are perfect. If you are cutting the length of the tubes down the Camira inserts are ...

Re: brake cailpers hitting tie rod end!
Not exactly the same parts, but i had the same issue using trying to fit GH Scorp struts into a GD. There was no way the caliper would clear the GD steering knuckle and tie rod end. Solution was to use the GH steering knuckle that came with the struts. These curve downwards more then the Galant one...

Hi Simone, I think something like what MMC has done to celebrate long term ownership and brand pride would have been a nicer outcome from the promotion above. I really think MMAL dropped the ball. Have a look and please let me know what you think http://www.mitsubishi-motors.co.jp/special/10year100k...
