Re: carby turbo build

if you go draw thru, dont run the rising rate port to the manifold just block it up - the carb dont see boost, the manifold does, so its gonna make the reg work and its gonna kill the motor i had that issue with mine..would get to 4500 and just pop and fart and carry on i felt real dumb when i expla...

Re: carby turbo build

i had a blow thru set up (350 holley), and had no issues with the tuning of it at all (you need to have solid floats and have the carb boost referenced) once i sorted the fuel pressures out, it was great it just lagged waaaay too much it didnt come on boost until 4400 and by the time it was gear cha...

fair enough then mate..
personal opinion i guess :)

as for blow thru being not worth it, google/you tube jake edwards torana

blow thru is where its pretty much at these days with turbo set ups
lets face it, EFI turbo is a blow thru set up anyways

the GC front looks better but the reason behind the swap is the intercooler size the original question was what is better, a pod or a sock not do i need to seal it etc :) Why did you bother going to single headlight if you are messing with it anyway? BUT
it was 4kph faster over the 1/4 mile with no pipe, just the TB and thats it - 16.1@133kph

CamB, I find it easier with out the compressors. Just loosly install the strut in ya car and undo the nut. I has no where to go and hurt, once popped just loosen off all the nuts/bolts and remove this is how i do it too.. except, i just rattle the nut off, then jack the car up and proceed to take t...

that turbo kit is 400 U.S, plus another 400 U.S to ship it. $800 U.S is just under $900 in our coin (depending on the rate) so its a lot to weigh up. i would look local. i sold my draw thru kit for $1400, but that had a fresh reco'd turbo factory kits/parts do pop up, and some can be had for a great...
