The Sigma Astron II was completely different Australian made motor to the Imported Astron II's. The GN and the first Magna where both built in 85, so why the fk would they put hydraulic in one and solid in the other. :roll: :roll: :roll: You can argue all you like but the facts are that ALL AUSTRALI...

Hate to spoil the party but the Sigma Astron II in manual form is a WIDE block. I have one fitted to my wagon straight from the factory. ;)
Auto's are narrow and there are no 2 litre Astron II's

It was a 2L 5 speed but thrashing it around the backyard the other night I managed to smash a hole through the block with pieces of piston and conrod everywhere. Congratulations if you manage to have pieces of conrod everywhere. You are the first I have heard of that managed to break conrods. :roll:

I have been looking for a GN wagon in mint condition for a while now. Its the GN Astron II 2.6 ( the number plates tell you that ;) )that was fitted form new. I bought an old Scorpion that had been turbo'd and just swapped the turbo bits over to my motor.
