Re: Intake question
my efi manifold is made from a tr manifold, which has the longest runners.. but theyve been cut down nearly in half.. i also cut the runners at a 45 degree angle so the cross section of the openings to the plenum is larger than the cross section of the runners, only because trumpets are expensive an...

Re: DIFF GONE???? LOUD CLUNK!
Rob it sounds like you have too much backlash between your Pinion and crown wheel gears. Could be that you need to tighten up the pinion? Does anyone know the correct Nm tension to set these to? Or it could be wear in the pinion bearings, or the spacer needs replacing, Or it could be wear in the ge...

youd have to bore the engine from 76.9mm to 80.6mm, nearly 4mm.. ive never done it but reliability would have to go down?

Re: ignition problem in the GE
hmm, i dont think it should get that hot :wut: to test the earth points you just want to check continuity to the chassis.. or even the negative terminal of the battery.. the less resistance the better if you have access to a carby magna for parts or even a gk sigma they have a dizzy/coil setup that ...

Re: ignition problem in the GE
5 volts on the coil is very low.. i think with a ballast you should have at least 9v.. and it should get full volts while cranking im pretty sure... do you have the ecu controlling the fuel pump? does it prime when you turn the ignition on? can you hear the injectors firing? after cranking does the ...

Re: ignition problem in the GE
your using a microtech digi though right? the standard coil and ballast were run by the standard dizzy for the last 33 years, your ecu controlls the spark directly through an ignition module.. positive side of the coil should have a direct connection to the cars +12v ign on source and the +12v pin o...
