Re: [SA] All Chrysler Day 26th Feb 2012

Thanks for the pic of that Turbo engine bay Mike - I've be wanting one for a few years! The owner is pretty cool. He's a Valiant guy but went all out on that car. Last years Chrysler cruise we tagged along in the Turbo GK and he approached me at the Happy valley stop. He was in the valiant that day ...

Re: All Mitsubishi Day in SA??

My 2 cents: The Bay would be great as it is central and you’ll get people looking just because it’s there I reckon the criteria should reflect the full history of Mitsubishi right from 1962 through to 2012. This would include all Chrysler and Dodge badged Galants etc and all imports of any descripti...

Re: All Mitsubishi Day in SA??

I dunno Jase, I love the river but the first couple of shows would need to be local. Especially if want to attract race cars like Steve Knight's Evo's etc which need trailering. I reckon the first show should be central and simple. If successful we can expand. I'm keen for a spot on committee. Jokes...

Re: All Mitsubishi Day in SA??

Ha ha, good stuff guys. the inaugral meeting of the All Mitsi Day show committe shall be held approx 20mins from Murray Bridge in a paddock. Minutes will be written up on the bonnett of a dusty brown GSR Sigma :). That might work Flashy, although that car park is a bit of an eye-sore and the turf is...

Re: [SA] All Japan Day 26/2/2012

Yeah you're probably right Jase but I personally would not feel comfortable entering a show car GH Sigma Turbo in AJD as I know they were built down the road. I think a lot of people would feel the same. For the Mitsi day, we could try to attract some headline cars like: The LS1 9 sec GSR Sigma The ...

Re: All Mitsubishi Day in SA??

Sorry Jase but the FWD cars would be the bread and butter of the show - we would need their entries to boost numbers and pay for the thing! Besides, they will only make our cars look that much cooler :). I love the All Jap Day concept though - no competitions, no judging, just a good day out enjoyin...

All Mitsubishi Day in SA??

Ok, why hasn't this been done before and why don't we get onto it? It would be great publicity for the forum if SG was part of the committee and from early Mitsis to imports, we would not struggle for a turn out.......

Re: [SA] All Japan Day 26/2/2012

Once again the best show I've been to since, well, last years All Jap Day! Love the format. Jase, aren't 4 door Galants Aussie built? That would explain the low numbers and the same goes for Sigmas. With the format of the day being imports, our SG community will never be massively represented. You k...

I can't make the Chrysler bar Damian but will say hello in the morning before I head to All Jap Day. Thanks ddt, yeah there is a bit of room. I don't really have the cash to buy every Mitsi in sight and the land is governed by Land Management Agreements so I can't go too crazy but I'll save what I c...

Re: Shifta's dodgey dirt builds

Nice Damian! The Galy hasn't been touched in a while as it's trip to the property has been somewhat delayed by um... paperwork...LOL. The GSR Sigma has been performing nicely up there as a work car and I love driving it. It did leave me stranded a bit the other night though as I incorrectly assumed ...

Who did the head work mate? I'll be pulling my 68 Colt head soon to investigate a possible head gasket issue and will probably need some work done on the head before putting it back on.... :)

I know, I was thinking the same and I'm really happy with both finds! One thing it has showed me though is no matter how rough a car is, I can't resist giving it as much TLC as possible :). Both cars I wanted to get in as good condition as I could including oil changes and tune ups. I figure they mi...

Shifta's dodgey dirt builds

So recently got access to some rural land and with on-road fun being ridiculously hard in Adelaide these days I've kinda shifted my focus a tad. Plan was to get a cheap offroader and it just happened that a second good deal popped up so I've ended up doing two. Here's a look at each one :). Car 1 - ...

I've always been curious about them Leigh! I just did some net research and they are still fetching some decent prices. For that sort of money I'd be inclined to do what my mate did and get an NM35 Stagea. One of the nicest cars I've been in lately and tows wicked!
