Yes that is very cool.
I wonder if it would fit under the hood of a Galant?

Nice GB you used to have. Shame about the inversion. Seen many a nice rally car come to an abrupt retirement. Is that a 16L grill on it?
Also, was wondering which of the 2 cars you thought handled better? curious to know.

Re: 1974 LA Lancer Classic Rally Build
Very nice LA you have Classicrally74. I've had a couple of LA's years ago which were my road car's that I used for doing motorkhana's and Dirt circuits in. Is that a 4G63 you're running in it? It should be interesting to see how it goes when you finish the rebuild with the fuel injection. my dad use...

holy shit you guys New Zealand has THE best roads) Yeah I know. Did you go to the South Island around Queenstown. The best roads I've ever driven. The road from Te Anau to Milford Sound would make a fantastic tarmac stage. As for the car, it does make me sad to see the photos of it and see it in th...

I'll be there with the Hardtop.
I'll see if a mate of mine with a mk1 Escort wants to come if that's ok. We've been trying to tee up a cruise for the two of us for a while.

They might be also hard to get over in NZ, as all their GTO's sold though the dealers were 4G52's.

I'll be in as I'll have a child restraint anchor point in the Galant by then. And after all we're meeting up just around the corner from my place.

Meet up at Windsor Macca's sounds good to me it's only 10 min away from home. There is usually a few old school cars that go there for breakfast on most Sunday morning too. One Sunday I went there with the family for breakfast and decided to take the Galant. I followed an early '70's 911 and 356 the...

To be honest I think it looks better than the 5 speed badges that I've seen on GTO's.

I agree. The 5 speed badges that I've seen on GTO's are bigger and sit to the right of the left hand tail light. Maybe the badge is off an earlier A53C GTO which weren't sold in NZ.mrelshauno wrote:They look different to the GTO 5 Speed badges from over here.

p.s I'm doing a poll what colour no to orange and no to green so you guys tell me what you think What green are you talking about. I really like the lime green that they came in and is a fairly rare colour for them. http://i775.photobucket.com/albums/yy37/Norte_7979/420gtomr-green11_zps047724eb.jpg...

I'll be keeping that date in mind. I don't believe a cage is required for Khanacross' because they aren't classified as a speed event. Well I know they didn't used to be when I used to do them but it's been a few years since I did my last khanacross.

I don't think the wing on the black evo is big enough.
I wonder if the front end gets light at high speeds with all that down force at the back.

I went out to the motorkhana last saturday but I'm guessing you weren't able to get your GB running. The only Mitsu running was 75Wagon's brother, John in his GB. Ok. My mate's in CACA. He'll probably be running his zebra (a 200 fwhp turbo 121 painted like a zebra). I wasn't aware that they had one on this weekend.
I'll probably pop out in the morning with the hardtop.

Great find you have there. Looks like you've got yourself a good project there. I didn't think the vinyl roof was standard. Also do you know if that's the original red or has it been resprayed. My dad's mate has a red GTO GS but your GTO looks to be a different red to his. http://i775.photobucket.co...
