Re: best carberation for 2.6L???????

is injection out of the question for your application?
by the time you buy and tune a good set of carbs you may likely be better off going with an injected setup.
depending on what ecu you run you can also play with the timing and gives you the options of different fuels.

Re: 200kw atw non turbo 2.6?

200kw NA would be easy. just build a forged engine like you would for a turbo and then add this to it. youll get 200rwkw for a few seconds at a time :P http://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-Nitrous-System-Pro-Race-Fogger-Wet-150-600-hp-Direct-Port-Carburetor-L4-Kit-/390551068122?hash=item5aeea85dda&item=3...

a trailor costs, about $70. just grab someone with a towbar and go and get it.
your saying that $100 for a tailshaft isnt expensive, and leave your car in a dodgy area when it costs less than that to move it.

i dont get it

hmm. yeah that could be an issue. but i guess you wouldnt know till you tried.
on the other hand, was welding up and machining back the cam out if the wuestion? may have to remove some head material to get the clearance, but ive seen it done on other engines.

could you not build up the base of the rocker to compensate? or would that change the angles of the dangles too much?

Re: what are the limits of 4g54 efi

itll run ok. only things being you may have to run premium fuel due to the compression. or it will ping and it will likely run lean if you put a big cam in with lots of overlap and it will idle lumpy. lean might damage the engine depending in the severity. I ran 10.5:1 with a mild cam and stock tr e...

Re: What did you do on the weekend?

that was a regularity, meaning you dial in a time and have to run as close to is as you can. the commo was a VN V6 with a cage. he dialed in 1.47 i was running 1.49 as my dialin. my PB at winton is 1.42.02 but you dont run 100% in a regularity. its about consistency not top speed. plus i had to driv...

Re: What did you do on the weekend?

Went racing at winton over the weekend. fairly stock 97 Legacy Wagon, coilovers and semislicks being the only handling mods with a street trim, i went out and ran 3 consecutive 1.42 laps, which i thought was good for a 1507KG street barge. then dialed in a 1.49 for the regularity and went out and ca...

they werent problems, the nissan xmember is much wider and the stock mounting position wont fit in a galant i dont think.
the base mounting points for the nissan were fair but wider than the scorpion also.

youll also have a lot of fun with the steering linkage. i did :)

whats your fabrication skills like??? got a plasma cutter? got a TIG or MIG Welder and know how to make structural welds? got a lathe? if the answers are pretty good, Yes, Yes and Yes. then you might be able to do it... its a slut of a job on a scorpion. and i dont know how youll go with the extra t...

also, stock carby drove nicer and had more torque down low.

i had a narrow 2L jap box behind my turbo siggy pushing out over 200rwkw for about 10,000kms. i had a very heavy but soft (full face organic plate) clutch which would have helped and also had std 185 tyres. so it wouldnt have had much load really. but it did eventually break some teeth off 2nd.... s...
