Re: E85 carbies?
From a racing perspective, it is the same as using methanol. You need to drain the tank of E85 and run the car on gasoline after each event for 5-10minutes to flush the E85 out of the system so that it doesn't absorb any moisture and leave gummy deposits in the fuel system. We do this on my brother'...

Re: Wide vs Narrow 4g63/4 options
Depends on the car its going in to. R154 are super expensive and won't fit in the tunnel of a lancer/galant without fitting a bigger tunnel to the car. I'm going down the RX7 turbo gearbox route with my car, as there are a lot of aftermarket close ratio gearsets available for them. I'm currently usi...

Re: Proportioning valve issues?
What set up do you have? Are you losing fluid? I've just been through a similar problem with mine. I have a 1" master cylinder, aftermarket prop valve, the factory distribution block, hydraulic handbrake and twin spot nissan calipers set up on the rear in that order. We had an issue with the pe...

Have you spoken to Mick Russell at M&N Smash in Seven Hills?
Knows his stuff, does a lot of race car repair work and old stuff. Had my Lancer race car shell on the rack there to get it straightened out before we started on it.
Worth a call just to have a chat to him.

The missus old 2007 Fiesta XR4 had +52 offset 17x7's on it from the factory and her current 2013 WRX has +53 17x8's on it from the factory. I haven't seen anything else with that much offset, but I haven't really looked that hard either.

Yeah wow that looks clean! Ball park I'd say $1200-$4k depending km's, interior, mechanical & paint condition. I already have 2 and no room for a 3rd. I've bought a couple of modified ones in that price range in similiar condition in the last 12 months. Might be sensible to wait a few months bef...

I'd allow money for a diff upgrade as well. The 2.6t will destroy the standard lancer diff in about 5 minutes flat!

Awesome day, Awesome weather! Car ran faultlessly all day, although I could have done with some bigger air correctors for the webers, as they were tuned at 90m above sea level, not the 800m above sea level that the air strip is at. Some massive numbers run over the 1000m! 16.7 @ 321kph for the Willa...

Anyone planning on going this year????????
I think I'll have the Lancer there at this point in time, as I have to have it ready to rumble for the Snowy Mountains 1000 a couple of weeks after that.

Yes correct, The Lancer stub axles is considerably smaller than the sigma stub axle and gives major trouble once you start adding more weight (bigger engines, turbo chargers, etc....), big wheels & race tyres. I would recommend against using the lancer struts and go with the sigma strut assembli...

I usually use the rotary vane type pumps, but anything that supplies that type of fuel flow will do the job.
