Re: gbox mount question?

As far as i know all the 4 speeds had a narrower stud spacing than the 5 speeds, auto different again. Although the galant/lancer 5 speed mount is interchangeable with the 4 speed mount so you can use the same cross member, just get a four speed mount to go with your box.

Re: Powder coating on rims.

Not sure how accurate this is but I was told by a powder coating specialist that the end result is somewhat porous and not as suitable for exterior automotive jobs like wheels, vents etc. So based on that advise I would say high impact 2 pack would be the go. Any (actual) experts out there that can ...

Re: who likes dished old school wheels?

Galants are difficult because of the front. I think the best you can do is like a 6 inch wide rim or maybe 7 inch if you get the offset right, would be around +12 I believe. You can go wider on the back though. Has anyone fit 7 inch rims under the front guards on their galant? (without flaring panel...

Re: dashboard re-skinning

I got my datsun 1600 dash re skinned by a guy in Blacktown Sydney. He's a bit slow and I've had to be patient, but happy with the job. He is doing one of my GTO dashes now. Much more dificcult than the datto one so will see how that goes. $200 for the datto dash and $450 approx for the GTO There is ...

Yeah, I love gun metal grey, looks awesome on old schoolers. Always wanted to do a GA or a GB in that colour, or even a datto 1600 :o

That looks like an a57c to me. I checked and additional A53c colours are piss yellow, white, olive green, sky blue, and yes even red. (I'm not interested in red) Apparently the MR only came out in white, orange, lime green, metalic blue and olive green. I havent seen any plive green mrs tho and have...

Re: GC discs on a GA?

From memory you can swap the GC calliper mounts onto the GA struts so you dont need to change out the whole strut. I'm sure the calliper mounts fit onto the drum brake front struts too. It all bolts up, just not 100% on the flex hoses. Master cylinder should be ok as well  btw, if there ar...

I know what you mean, but there is hardly any differance and sometimes I think practicallity has to step in if you know what I mean. I would love to go two spot GTO front discs for my goat but its just too difficult to source the parts. Finding parts for the GTO is bad enough as it is :P
