Re: advice and knowledge assistance for lb circuit car
I think one reason for using sigma struts[on rally cars] was that lancer stub axles could bend if pushed too hard over rough stuff
if you get sigma lower control arms, try to get GJ onwards LCAs ,GH mounting bolt

Sorry couldn't resist
Photo was taken a couple of years ago before I got back into mitsubishis, person taking the photos must have only taken them when I had a foot down[did clear it a few times]
Car was a paddock basher with part of the full cage I had in the old gc rally car

Hi, There is a sheet on the site here somewhere which should help you out if you enter it into the search. It comes from the first couple of pages of a sigma manual. Roughly, though g- sigma h- series 8 - 2 litre auto h - high price class 41 - sedan MFO1 = vehicle identification code M = year (1981)...

Re: How to read the serial number on an Astron block.
Thanks for your reply, I thought that the 2 litre astrons in the sigmas were Australian built motors with Australian numbers on them as explained earlier in the thread. I had an L200 4 x 4 1982 model and it had a 2 litre astron motor. I am trying to find out what the motor is out of for an engineers...

Re: How to read the serial number on an Astron block.
Hi all,
I am trying to figure out what vehicle a 2 litre astron motor has come out of.
Engine number is 4g52 52BL2722
Obviously it is a 2 litre astron - quite possibly from an L200 or L300, but I can't find any info on how to work out what it is from
Any help would be appreciated

4g67 into a galant legally?
I have been thinking that I should be able to put a 4 g 67 motor into a Galant legally without an engineer's certificate. I rang the NSW RTA and they told me I can upgraade by 15% of the original motor. A 4 g 32 is 1597cc plus 15% should make it 1836.55cc. A 4g67 is 1836cc. Does this sound right to ...

Hi jason
I am just wondering what motor specs you are going to use ie,cams, throttle bodies, injectors .Are you using stock pistons and rods.
Very interested in learning more from your build ,
