Wheels all done, they came up pretty well. Even with a lathe it's still a lot of work and time to get a reasonable result.
Should hopefully get some tyres this week, I'm thinking 185 60 13.

Re: Marty's 71 GA Galant
Had a go at wet sanding and polishing two of my hayashi wheels. Did it in the lathe which makes it a bit easier. http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p355/Martin71GA/Mobile%20Uploads/20141026_000410_zps0fc4f1e3.jpg http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p355/Martin71GA/Mobile%20Uploads/20141026_051046_zps...

Re: Marty's 71 GA Galant
There hasn't been a great deal of work done on the Galant over the last few months. I have made some slightly larger lowering blocks, i'm pretty happy with the height. http://i344.photobucket.com/albums/p355/Martin71GA/Martins%20Car%20Shots/20140725_112154_zpsc939b682.jpg I recently bought some 13x6...

There isn't many options out there for them. I looked into it and ended up getting a colt unit and modding it to suit.

Re: Marty's 71 GA Galant
Thanks guys, the 1300 runs pretty well but it does have a pretty serious oil leak. I have had to put a new head on and a moded colt radiator. The next thing im doing is getting some tyres for the widened steelies i have had made up. I have spare front doors and gards which i will get straight and pa...

Marty's 71 GA Galant

Re: Widened Galant Steelies on GA
In all honesty it wasnt exactly cheap to get them done ($185 for each of the 7's) so unless you were going to gain a reasonable amount of width i probably wouldnt recommend doing it.

Widened Galant Steelies on GA
Hey Guys thought i would show you the steelies i have just had widened. I have recently purchased some 13x6 (+12) steelies for the front and i had some 13x7's (+10) made for the rear. I managed to borrow a 205 60 13 to trial for the 7inch rear and i am happy with the results. I plan to run a 185 65 ...

I would have been also keen but unfortunatly i am unable to do either of those weekends due to work. I can do the 3/5 or the 24/5 if if that suited but you dont have to change the dates just for me. Either way im glad to see some stuff happening in Adelaide.

Yes you are right, each to their own.Although, if you are going to take your car to an organised car cruise/photo day/meet up..whatever ..surely you could at least spend about 15 minutes washing your car quickly..maybe even clean the windows?! Otherwise wtf sort of car enthusiasts are we?![/quote] I ...

I am currently running reset wagon springs (5 pack) with a 20mm lowering block. From memory the rear eyebrow height is between 310mm and 315mm.

Re: Fitting KHFL-116 King Springs to Galant
So i fitted the new springs last week and i am very happy with the results. The eyebrow height is between 305mm and 310mm (Running 4G30) which matches nicely with my rear set up. It is worth noting that you will need low travel shocks as i am running standard VB to VP commodor shocks and they do not...

Fitting KHFL-116 King Springs to Galant
Hey guys i am currently running king spring lows (KDRL-83) in my GA and im not really happy with the height. I recently read that KHFL-116 fit and give you an extra 20 to 30mm drop, so i decided to give them a crack and ordered some. The new springs arrived today and look really promising, the coil ...

Re: Granny Spec Galant Goes Bosozoku
King springs don't appear to list those KHFL-116 springs for galants on the online catelogue. Do you know of anyone using these springs 75glnt? Im currently running the KDRL-83 in my ga and its still rather high.

Re: 84 wagon - big plans
Hey mate love the wagon. From memory all i had to do with 3 bolt strut tops was drill the hole out in the top spring plate as the commodore shocks dont have the locating flat. I made a tool up to tighten the nut up but a rattle gun works fine too.

Re: 1600 head on 1300?
Yes i think there is a difference, for one thing the head hangs over the side of the block and the EGR slot is partially exposed, on the early head and block there is four coolant ports which run down the exhaust side, the EGR head/ gasket doesnt have these ports however the holes in the early gaske...

Re: 1600 head on 1300?
Well i decided to just try the Egr head gasket and it all looks to have worked fine. To sum up if you are looking to run an EGR head on a non EGR block you need to block off the air pump inlet on the side of the head, the holes in the exhaust ports also need to be filled or blocked and you will need...

Re: 1600 head on 1300?
i have done some research on the forum and found a few posts about this issue, the exhaust Ports holes and air pump inlet hole have already been blocked so do I just need the new egr style gasket?

Re: 1600 head on 1300?
Okay so I have fitted the new head to my galant and it looks like it does have the egr slot. I got the head of a mate who was running it on his 4g32 GB so I figured it would still be okay. I filled the motor and water came out from the exhaust side. Is there anything I can do to still use this head?...
