Re: Dash pad cure?
I done my gd dash in black vinyl and it came out pretty good, except the glue didn't stay stuck cos it was only cheap areosol can stuff. I have to re glue it but I've got proper stuff now so hopefully it will work. http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh264/79_lancer/galant/63ffb6ed.jpg http://i258.ph...

Re: Auto LC lancers....
Only 2 in 30 years? Wow lol. I guess they would be fairly hard to come by then. I had one as my first car and still have the running gear from it. No A/C tho. But the engine is one that has no silence shaft thing. I've heard that the auto trans might be a baby 904 torqueflite. Was just looking to fi...

] Picked up a genuine r33 gtr ARC intercooler cheap, figured it could go upside down because the gtr intake is on the opposite side to the vr4 engine (not sure if this matters, someone with more knowledge tell me please!). http://i45.tinypic.com/33fdwgh.jpg Cheers i think with inter coolers, (not 1...

Re: GD galant, hot house green. Aka 'The green machine'
Ok, so this week I've started tidying up my door cards and sprayed them black in vinyl paint. Also got some proper auto trim glue, so I can re do the dash. That's still pretty quick lol. Nice work..... I wonder what I can get with my motor then :wut: lol. I did a google search on possible power output for 4g32's and it came up with a post from here ( from the archives lol) some people think you would struggle to get 100hp at the wheels with a fully wor...

Re: Knox auto carpets?
I'm pretty sure it was plush pile, kinda in between loop and shag. Looks good. I think it was around the $200 mark but I also got the under felt. This is for my galant tho, not the lancer, just incase u wanted to know. www.knoxautocarpets.com.au/ is the website. I think they do lancer carpet too but...

Re: GD galant, hot house green. Aka 'The green machine'
Time for a quick update I guess.... It's been a while and progress has been a lot slower then I'd hoped :( . Windows are all in, rubbers are all done, carpet is half fitted. Bad point, is the vinyl trim on the dash came un-stuck. I guess the glue just wasn't good enough, so I'll have to re-trim it.....

I have a similar fuel problem with my lancer. Tried to start it the other day but the fuel is heaps dirty and not getting to the filter. I'm going to drain and flush the tank and see if that helps. Also think I have a blocked fuel line too so ill have to have a good look at it....... One day :p

Re: Knox auto carpets?
ah ok cheers. its just that ive looked at some of the old carpet bits and they are completely different. i'm just trying to work out how to pin the new carpet under the door scuff plates. i think lancers have little hook things along the carpet edge to clip over the lip where the pinch rubber goes i...

Re: GD galant, hot house green. Aka 'The green machine'
I brought the whole dash set-up from someone on here for about $250. The gauges are speco and there is an oil pressure, volts, water temp, tacho, odometer and fuel. They vary in price from about $40 for the small ones and $100+ for the bigger ones. Only thing is they are all electric, so im still lo...

Re: GD galant, hot house green. Aka 'The green machine'
The vinyl paint is about $10-$20 depending on where u get it from. Not sure how long it lasts, I've had mixed feedback on it. Some people say its crap and will come off, especially on seats, but if you prep the surface properly, it shouldn't come off. Just make sure you clean it with warm soapy wate...

A bit more progress today. Made new trims for 'B' pillars, got badges on, new parcel shelf and painted half of rear seat with vinyl paint. Next task is to pop out front window so I can trim the 'A' pillars, get a window mechanism for rear drivers side door so glass can go in. Pick up carpet tomorrow...

Nah no other pics. This is how it was when I brought it, except from the dash and the rims. Some people dont like the jelly beans much, but I've always wanted some for an old school car. I think they will look good on it when it's done, but we'll see I suppose

GD galant, hot house green. Aka 'The green machine'
Hi all, I figured it's about time I put a post for my latest car. It's a GD XL galant, painted in hot house green. I picked it up off a mate, who had originally planned to build it into a drag car. Still getting the rest of the parts I need together but progress is going very well :D I have brought ...
