Hang on sorry i didn't read the car you wanted it for. This would be more for the galants and lancers.
This would be what you were actually looking for. I don't know if he still has it at all.

Re: Ok, has ANYONE done a GL/GE SE auto to manual???
Also according to the workshop manuals the 2.6L GK and GN sigma's had a 3.42:1 and the 1.6L and the 2L had a 3.7:1 diff ratio. I thinki that the GH and GJ had a difference between the Manual and Auto diff's but i'm not sure what they had in them. The GE sigma's had a 3.42 for the auto transmissions ...

I think the biggest different is that in the US they have to prove it passes safety standards with crash testing and the people who then go through the crash testing have intellectual property protection over what needs to be completed. Where as here the government sets what modifications need to be...

I'm keen to make a bit of a showing for the pint sized chryslers. I'll be making my way to this cruise in my GB Galant and meeting at the shell at Nudgee. It'll be good to see any other chryslers there.

Re: Question About Std Size Cam..
Yeah the 2.0L engine info i put there should be fine for you as the 4g52 2.0L Astron engines are mostly the same apart from the balance shaft and non-balance shaft versions. And yes the one in the manual i have does have a compression ratio of 9.5:1 so it should hopefully be the same as yours.

Oh also the part number for that cam is different to any of the sigma part numbers. The sigma ones are from the genuine parts manuals are: 2.0L Astron 1 4063324 2.6L Astron 1 4151130 2.6L Astron 2 AD077306 Note: These are the numbers for just the cam shafts so if it was in a kit it could be differen...

Re: Question About Std Size Cam..
I don't know if this will help you at all but here are the cam specs for the Sigma GK Astron NA model. I think it would be for the astron 1 head but it could be the 2 because they don't state a second version type. I think the GK had the astron 1 and then got the astron 2 partway through the run but...

Re: manual conversion help asap
I wouldn't worry about welding at all if you don't have to. I just used a couple of pieces of angle steel to space the gearbox cross member further back and just bolted the angle to the chassis and the cross member to the angle. I think there is also a few different length of tailshafts for the seda...

Re: GK GSR DIFF RATIO??
The answer to this is a definite NO. There is only one factory LSD which will bolt into a sigma and that is from a Sapporo and they were never released here and are kinda hard to find even in NZ. If you want a LSD the easiest and cheapest (note: not cheap) option would be a cut down diff from a diff...

I don't know how similiar the GE is the GN in this respect but the only differences in the electrical system was for the instrument cluster where it indicates which gear you are in, the gear selector switch and the reverse switch. What I did to change from auto to manual was unplug the selector swit...

I actually really like my yoko c-drive tyres. I have them on the galant and they have been great. Excellent wet weather grip and they seem to be wearing pretty well. I throw my car in the corners and haven't had any slipage or loss of tracion. I can't even lock up my tyres in the wet under extreme b...

Re: 74 LA Lancer bolt in engine/radiator options
4g32's are a direct bolt in, 4g63's are not, as the cas hits the fire wall and the gearbox hit the drag link. Astron, I take it you're talking about the 4G63 twin cam motor. I think the 4G63 single cam maybe a bit easier to fit. My dad fitted one to his old GB Galant and also to a LB Lancer (this w...

What engine are you planning on using them on. I know jamie with his twincam 4g63 coupe up here has a 4age manifold and throttle bodies with just a basic 10 or 20mm adapter plate. The holes line up pretty well for that configuration to clear each manifold face.

Yeah the last cruise we had up here we only ended up with 4 members at it. There a few members up here with pretty decent rides but it's just difficult to organise everyone for a single date as many aren't frequent users of this site. Jamie's coupe is done pretty nicely and I meant to ask him what e...

Re: 4g63 motor??????
You should be able to use any sigma engine as i'm pretty sure they are all compatible. The only problem you would have is putting an older engine into a newer car. Or you should be able to get a FWD 4g63 from an early 90's SOHC galant and swap the parts from your engine to make it RWD. Just double c...

Damn, am I reading that correctly. The final price was $2800 AUD. That would have been worth it like anything to bring it over here just for the motor alone. What would the import fees have been like? I'm assuming about the 3 to 4 grand mark. So for 7 Grand you'd have a pretty rough DOHC GTO. Much b...

I thought you guys in NSW had the same deal as us here in QLD with the engine where you could put an turbo engine where it's capacity 2.5 times the weight of the vehicle. So a 2l engine would be no probs. Or did the engineer have a problem with the aftermarket computer system and passing emissions? ...

I was doing a little searching online and came across the 1972 E49 RT Charger and was a little curious about these cars. Don't go cheap on a thermo fan. There is nothing worse then finding out during peak hour stop start traffic that your thermo fan has decided to pack it in. Been there, done that, not fun. Turning off the engine at traffic lights and watching the needle go higher and higher until you get some clear r...

I couldn't agree with that more. I have nolothane bushes in everything up front in my GB and a good set of 195/50 on some pepperpot rims and i can't get the thing to come loose at all even on the wettest roads. I suspect it'd roll before losing it and that can be remedied by a slightly lower stiffer...

Re: adjusting toe (camber) in GC sedan
I think putting in the Sigma struts gives a bit of negative camber due to the slightly different kingpin inclination. Unfortunately the Galants don't really have a lower control arm but more of a wishbone. An old trick used on similar setups in other cars is putting a spacer where it bolts up to the...

Most states don't allow for a 2.6 turbo in a Galant as far as i'm aware. Some people have put in a 2.6 and claimed it to be a 2L engine instead to get it through. Although each state is different.

I would say that you should look at the valuations given to the Starions are they would be the closest match to you vehicle or maybe try and see what it'd cost to get an importer to get one in Aus for and use that as a basic valuation. A standard valuation from anywhere typical would prob try and sa...
