Geezer.... we did alot more than snap them off...... we spent about 4 hours getting the head off, we had to drill the head bolts and use a chisel to remove the top of the bolts, then use an arrangement of chisels to pry the head far enough away from the block to use an angle grinder to cut the botto...

Well got a little bit of stuff done on the Wagon today, finally got around to putting the New passenger seat in to match the driver seat, i have rails for the L/H side so was able to fit it correctly after i gave the rails a quick tidy up, for some reason one of the rails was pretty rusty so hit it ...

So the other day i went down and investigated what was wrong, turns out a fuel line i had shortened by about 2cm had kinked at the bend, so had to run the fuel line a funny way but sure enough the car roared to life and stayed running, sweet as, set the timing and went for a drive and the difference...

well finally swapped in the Bosch distributor, and wouldnt you know it, suddenly the bloody thing works great :D So happy to finally have this problem sorted, now to fiddle with the timing and get it perfect, have it set currently at about 6-7 degrees, thinking that i might bump it up a few degree's...

The only reason it would be somewhat hidden is if there was a late model head on it I think, even then you would still be able to see half of it, give it a good decrease and you should find it, and it will be well forward of your extractors

Should be on the right side of the engine where the block meets the head towards the front of the engine

Another carby over a seal...... Oh hell no I have a spare seal, just being lazy, if it messes up then it's no issue, if I was going to go to the trouble of doing a carby swap I would be getting another 32/36 weber

So i think i got my problem, the seal hanging inside the carby will be a simple fix, loosen carby top, put seal back in place, tighten down carby top and replace seal if it happens again, However i dont think the seal will be my problem, today i went and got some stuff to do a general service, Fuel ...

Last event there was an evo vs skyline track session or something, few of them seen our event and have kept coming back it seems, also the japnats time attack was on so few were spectating that and jumped at the chance for an hour and a half of track time for 50 bucks.
