Just some glamour shots. https://i.imgur.com/1p72Zcq.jpg https://i.imgur.com/o5XHtnj.jpg https://i.imgur.com/fhUvUw9.jpg As you see in the last pic the taillights are different. The original left light is broken in the trunk. I'm still kind of confused on what models had what lights because they loo...

Re: The Great Alaskan Sapporo
Yes the car did run. Started right up and ran pretty good. Super hard to push the clutch but it made it to the car wash. A little scrubbing and Purple power cleaner is exactly what it needed.

https://i.imgur.com/dX2Ayu7.jpg Cam gear bolt broke. That's all the guy knew. Probably happened when the right rear tire was spun bald . Whatever. Not my first time in a g54b so i had it apart quickly and figured out the 4th-back cam journal was scored and I'm going with that seized the cam causing...

https://i.imgur.com/V3mLNmf.jpg Here it is. Day one of seeing it in a garage on the local military base that a GI was selling for $200. Car was FREE about 6 months or more prior to this and my Starion sensei here in town had shown it to me on the Facebook marketplace. guy wouldn't reply to use then...

Re: The Great Alaskan Sapporo
Long story short, I picked up an '87 Widebody Starion that was a POS, worked on it way too much then as it was dead I picked up this car knowing I had a few g54b engine parts lying around and knew I could fix it up easy. For anyone interested here is my Starion thread that tapered off and never fini...

The Great Alaskan Sapporo
It's my turn to start a thread on the semi-restoration of a US-model $200 1983 Plymouth Sapporo. Sorry in advance for whomever comes to this page in search of help fixing up one of these weird (to us in the US) cars but just like all the other threads before me this one eventually fade away into the...

Re: Scorpion (US Sapporo) 10 bolt diff centre options?
Well Superscan811 I have been doing research and one tidbit of info I do know is that there were never independent rear suspension Sapporo's here in the US. Mine is a solid axle. I didn't even know there was such a car. As far as the front end differences go between the 2 cars I had an '87 Wide body...

Scorpion (US Sapporo) 10 bolt diff centre options?
I know this has been thrown around here too many times but I still am unsure whats what as far as the rear ends go on these cars. Have an '83 Plymouth Sapporo here in the US and want an LSD. I DO NOT want to install a different axle housing or do crazy modifications. I'm under the impression that th...

Re: Scorpion LSD Diff (Please Read)
Can I get a little more education on what exactly is in these cars? I have an American '83 Sapporo, non lsd and really can't find the info on what exact lsd diff will work in it. I'm familiar with Starions as I just sold an '87 widebody but when people reference JB Starion diff are they talking from...

Hey there guys! I am a new owner of yet another old Mitsubishi car. 1983 Plymouth Sapporo ( US model ). G54B, 5-speed, air conditioning and even the factory installed cruise control. Car is in pretty good condition except for being dirty when I bought it. I'll have the whole story and PLENTY of ques...
