short collars with grub screws? makes them adjustable.. if you use aluminium to make spacers, it would be same "alloy" thrust surface as factory..the idea is to have no load what so ever on rockers..........

Re: kens GC 4g63 sedan - *lots of pics
i would like to give them a decent polish but dont have the equipment dave used in the wheel cleaning thread. yeh maybe a buffer on a drill will do a good enough job. You'll need to spin them to sand/polish them. The sanding lines need to be spun like the wheel or those types of wheels look terribl...

Re: Removal of battery tray
Galant_GT0  try using a flappy sanding disk on the grinder, its a little less brutal...Cut back battery tray so all thats left is the welds, it makes it easy to "feel" when welds are loosened. Dont pull to hard as it will rip away from panel leaving a hole...try to twist and pull...

Re: coolant ratio
As i understand coolant (ethylene glycol) doesn't have the same heat soak properties as water......
if high % coolant was desirable... wouldn't all car manufactures run straight coolant?????
i think of it more as "inhibitor"... water is the coolant!

6 of one, 1/2 a dozen of the other. I think you are on the right track, IMHO removing them achieves very little to nothing. It may remove some weight and it may be one less part to go wrong but seriously, unless you are pulling for absolute max hp it will make difference nadda. Don't believe the hy...

. I cracked my block at the oil filter thread, one explanation was because the 4g54 has such a long stroke, at high revs, the block can turn to jelly. when I re-block mine, I'll be grouting and adding a girdle, (even if just for added strength) I too have cracked recoed 4g54 blocks.....after having ...
