Re: Front controll arm bushes
Hey mate I realise this post is over a year old but thought I would reply for those wanting information. I changed out the factory rubber bushes in my GC for Nolathane bushes.....don't do it. The kit is wrong. The bushes are too big and mushroom and split when you press them into the correct positio...

Re: Head gasket wont fit overbored 4G52
Thanks for the help guys. Cheater this engine also has pistons with an angle around the edge. They sit approx 0.4mm above the deck. From looking at the block I don't believe it has been o-ringed or sleeved. It was build in the early/mid 90's and was in a GB rally car to start then a GE sigma rally c...

Head gasket wont fit overbored 4G52
Hey guys, I've got a 4G52 which has been bored out to 90mm and the pistons sit 0.4mm proud of the block, built by previous owner and can't get in contact with them. I cant use a standard head gasket and the 4G54 one is obviously too big in the piston bore at 92mm to use. Has anyone bored an engine o...

Re: GC-GD wiring
Thanks for that.
I had a look at a Gregorys service manual and it only has 1 wiring diagram listed, hence the question.
I figured there would be minor differences with the twin headlights but was just putting it out there if someone knew.
Cheers

Hi guys,
Was wondering if anyone knows if the front half of the wiring looms are the same for the GC/GD Galants?
I'm chasing one for a GC to fix up.
Thanks

Seeking proof of factory GC with 4g52
Hi guys, I'm looking for proof, as in sales brochure or factory picture, of a 1975 GC Galant (or other name in other country) coming out with a factory 4G52. I don't care what country it came out in with the 4g52 but must be a GC Galant (as known in Austraila). I have found wikipedia references to i...

Re: 4G32 to 4G63 help
Hey mate,
Look through the builds section and search for 4G63 conversion as a lot of people have done them.
That should answer any of your questions (and most include photos).
Good luck with the build.
Cheers

Re: ITB selection? wanted to buy. Your thoughts!
I have quad carbies from a GSXR750 on a custom manifold made by Superscann811. Work really well, easy to tune and balance. Already the right spacing for a 4G32 also. He has made a set off a GSXR1000 for his 2.6L which was in a Triton, went really well. I'm pretty sure he has documented them on here ...

Re: Club registering a 78' GE Scorp
NSW is a bit tight on Historic rego. Car is allowed "Period Modifications" depending on the club you are with depends on their take on that. Not all car clubs do Historic Rego in NSW, first year is $135ish and about $85 every year after that (includes CTP insurance). You are allowed to dri...

Re: Belial's Mini Mopar (LC Lancer)
Not sure how VIC do their club rego, but 'historic rego' here in NSW is allowed "period modifications and modifications that came out in that model". Eg v8 could be fitted to a commodore, even if the one you bought only had 6 cylinders, but need brake upgrade etc. So as awesome as the V6 m...

Re: lc lancer oil pressure sender
Piss off the useless factory one (unless you want original look).
I put in an Autometer one and is heaps better.
My factory one would take ages to register movement and also still read pressure when engine was switched off.....

If you want something that's never going to blow up I use a shortened Hilux diff, with LSD and R31 Skyline discs and calipers.
But very heavy....
My 2.6 LC Rally car with full cage weighs in at 1050kg wet (minus driver).

Always the case.....a cruise I could bring my car to, 2 weeks after I smashed it
Will wait for the next one then.
Should probably put the roof back on my shed before I go playing cars again anyway.

I heard a rumor that one of the new model Colt's had the same 4 bolt strut top, though unfortunately I can't confirm this, nor would I know where to go to get the information.
Maybe rock up to a dealer with a ruler or spare part?

On 3 different cars coming from 3 different places....exceptionally doubtful.
I do have the full history of the car that I own (known previous 3 owners) and it has definitely not been rebodied.

I drove a car with one of these and I thought it was actually pretty s*** actually.
I prefer the standard shifter any day, more definition in the distance between gears and less effort needed to shift between gears.
Longer shifter gives you more leverage.

Probably closer to 5-10 degrees advance.
If it is a true #5 grind it works well on overlap and needs to be quite lumpy to keep it going.
My mates Lancer idles at 1000rpm but it sounds like 600-700.
As for cam specs I have no idea, but would also be interested to know.
