Re: triton diff gears

I have a nice Auto locker for the front and rear of a Pajero (7.25" front) and (8" rear) that may fit some ?
ANyone got a scorp center to test? Bring it over to our warehouse and lets see if any will fit!

Re: Are galant sedan and coupe leafs compatable?

4 and 2 door are the same. I ran wagon springs with a couple of leafs removed and reset to the ride height i wanted (better side to side rigidity with the wide leafs) But like TJ said, the shocks will dont fit, So I just used the spring plate from the wagon so the shocks would fit (from memory) I ha...

I know the post is a little old now, But i have some Koni 8611 double adjustable race inserts, (also available as 8610 single adjust) there generic, not for any particular car, These Koni 8611 Series double adjustable strut inserts are universal strut inserts that can be used in many different appli...

Yeah, I have been talking to cheater for almost 10 years about it. I had no interest in IP prior to that.
They give you 50mm each side as viewed from above for flairs, (100mm total) and ill be using all of it :)

Re: adjusting toe (camber) in GC sedan

That was aimed at me? Sorry, I didn't realize my posts was that unclear? Yes, Galant A arms are the same length as Lancer and early sigma arms. I was not stating Lancer and sigma arms were also A arms, There would be no point me talking about installing radius rod mounts and a lancer cross-member if...

Re: adjusting toe (camber) in GC sedan

Dont need to fab any radius rod mounts, all that stuff bolts straight in. Looks like they had setup to go that way with the galant, but didnt. If I wasnt building for IP I would have done that too. A arms have some advantages over radius rod setups tho. only down side is there shorter than the late ...

Re: adjusting toe (camber) in GC sedan

Yes this was the plan, I dont see anything in the IP rules to stop this, But the bushes are arranged with bush to take the thrust load under braking in the std direction, when swaping sides the thrust bush is on the wrong side, Some simple mods will no doubt fix this, Just wandering what, if anythin...

Re: adjusting toe (camber) in GC sedan

Galant A arms are the same length as the older model sigma, the newer ones are longer. To achieve some neg camber, the "race" Galant I bought had holes drilled in the crossmember about 1inch further out to mount the A arms, they also had a spacer under the rear bolt to help with bump/roll ...

Re: hill climb galant

Coupe will likely be heavier(20kgs maybe) and offer less chassis rigidity though. Not once the cage is in. The thing with a galant is that once you put all the sigma stuff into it, there is really bugger all weight difference between the two. All the driveline/brakes from the sigma is really what m...

Re: i wana see pics of what size rims people are running

Just stick with your lancer struts, I assume there much like the Galant struts? There smaller OD than the Sigma struts, so the cheapest way to get springs and threaded sleeves is from ebay http://cgi.ebay.com.au/SUSPENSION-COILOVER-SPRINGS-94-95-97-MAZDA-MX6-MX-6-/370424565362?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Access...

Re: i wana see pics of what size rims people are running

225/50/15s on sigma turbo rims in my galant with no rubbing at all. Its 2.5" off the chassis, (bumps stops removed) thats how i bought it, I will replace the bump stops with some small ones.
But i have a coupe, they have more room than the 4doors, I had rubbing with the same setup in my 4door.

Tape measure down the inside gives 340mm (needed a 50mm spacer under the shocks) On the outside from the flange at the rear bolt hole its 362mm What are yours? I may end up with the NSX rotors as it turns out, unfortunately i need a smaller hole in the middle than the sigma hubs, as the PCD on the g...

Re: Starion Rotors on Pajero diff - adapterplates, anyone want?

hmm, I might have to look at that. The Pajero diff is a 6 stud, so that needs a mod anyway.and no need for 16mm spacers if i am making a custom caliper bracket. The starion caliper needs 20mm to get it out to the right spot on the pajero diff the other reason im using the starion stuff is 1. i have ...

Starion Rotors on Pajero diff - adapterplates, anyone want?

Im putting some Starion vented rotors and calipers on my Pajero diff. (to use in my GC Galant) I have drawn up the brackets and am having a pair made for me.
Just checking to see if anyone else is interested in this conversion? Ill get a few made up in one hit?

dust is fine :) Defiantly an M8, be interesting to see if it has the gen3 marks also. I doubt it. Im guessing they must have cast both gen2 and gen 3 M8 heads. The gen markings are in 2 places, but the main one is on the front exhaust side of the head they have a II cast onto it in for the gen 2 and...

Rallyant where did u get your kit from to convert your struts to coil overs? Re: Mr Bishis big brake upgrade in a Galant.

Yeah, there seems to be heaps around the 45 offset, so no need for the spacer, and a heap with the same PCD, so even if there 5stud one of the existing holes can be used for the 4 stud conversion. But i realy want to make sure the rotor will not smash into the Galants suspension arm under full compr...
