M7 head welch plug - for using Sigma cam in Magna head
Hi all, On the weekend my motor decided to develop a very large oil leak. It seems to be coming out of the welch plug that was used to plug the hole at the back of the head where the magna cam used to protrude out.. I've had a search and cant find anything about the size of said plug to fill that ho...

Re: How you know you are getting old...
Haha, that's a shame. I have quite the opposite issue! Being 22 all of my friends don't understand why I've got a thing for my sigma. They don't do much work at all because they're used to having cars that are 'too complicated' to do anything with. Sad.

That would be great mate! It seems as though it is hard to find a suitable 'base' map to start fiddling with for turbo lpgfishpost19 wrote:As soon as I remember to plug the laptop in one of these days I can a snapshot of the timing map.

Would locking the distributor here be a good idea? Otherwise wouldn't it advance under boost which is exactly not what you want it to do? Or, I may just have no idea.

Great , how'd the All Jap day go . Hey , as I will probably be doing a similar job , i was just wondering why they didn't suggest the car be intercooled . Also have you any idea of your engines compression ratio?. Thanks ! Hey! Yeah, it went really good. A lot of interest in the car :) It most prob...

Alrightey, thanks for the tip. I shall see if I can find someone that can measure that for me, and worst comes to worst I can just replace the master cylinder

Re: Urgent help required - disc brakes
Alrightey, just a little update for anyone in the future. These pieces are standard on any GK with rear disc brakes. I found them on a sedan someone was parting out! Interesting enough, I also found out with the aid of these it is super easy to convert a drum diff to disc. Just grab the assembelies ...

Re: Urgent help required - disc brakes
Yeah, I've got the GN manual aswell and it mentions nothing.. The guy i'm going to buy the part from reckons its from a GH wagon. I dont mind, as I think i've sourced the part, but it would be nice to know for future refrence, and apparently it enables literally a bolt-on disc upgrade.. Saying that,...

Re: Urgent help required - disc brakes
I found someone on the ModifiedMitsubishi facebook page who actually has one of these. Said it came from a sigma wagon with disc brakes, just like mine! Maybe it was a factory option kit or something? It seems to adapt a drum axle into disc brakes, and it is made by the company that did make all the...

Re: Urgent help required - disc brakes
In terms of information, the best i've got is that it's a drum brake rear diff. the handbrake goes inside of the brake discs, and its running R33 skyline brakes, but there's a plate which bolts it onto the piece i've pictured. I hope i can replace it as that'll mean i'll be able to use my car again.

Urgent help required - disc brakes
Hi all, Unfortunately i've had an accident and broken some of the rear brake set-up in my sigma. They have this 'Girlock' plate which adapts the drum rear end to the discs that i'm currently using. This is broken and needs replacing and i'm unable to find anything out there in the world of the inten...

Well I've got it back :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PAbBavD4ZI 104kw on 7psi after correction. Not bad! Considering it had 65 before it left, that's a massive power increase. Very noticeable! And I must credit Everlast Mufflers at Modbury, SA, for their work on the exhaust. It sounds absolutel...

Re: Ben's 87 Sigma Highroof - With Mods! (Pic Heavy)
So things have been going slower than expected, but the work is now being commenced. The turbo was absolutely done, so that's in for a full rebuild - much more than the bearings and seals that I replaced. The turbo oil drain has been made larger to ensure no blockages/restrictions. Distributor will ...

GN Sigma Workshop Manual (PDF)
Hi Guys,
So it seems a while ago there was a workshop manual for the GN sigma floating around in PDF form, however all the links I can find are dead.
Does anyone have a copy that they'd be willing to upload/E-mail me?
Thanks!

Here are the shields + add a turbo blancket and everything is sweet. http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800x600q90/911/QErw2x.jpg Awesome! Thanks mate. I'll sus out the cable, and using ...

Re: Hydraulic Clutch Conversion - GN Sigma
In terms of my lack of space, its more because my clutch cable seems to come a long way 'out' from the firewall, and out to where the exhaust manifold is before it turns back and heads to the gearbox. Maybe my cable is incorrect?

Re: Hydraulic Clutch Conversion - GN Sigma
I have used a Starion box and hydraulic setup (pedal, master, line, slave cylinder) in my Sigma, however this is a Wide block only thing.. I have thought about trying to adapt a Magna or Cordia (as would be narrow bock pattern) arm and slave cylinder to a box. it would be a matter of cutting a hole...

Hydraulic Clutch Conversion - GN Sigma
Hi all, I've been toying with the idea of attempting a DIY hydraulic clutch solution for my GN wagon. Reason being is that the clutch cable current is way too close to my turbo dump, and moving it out of the way is making it significantly harder to press - yet alone when a heavy duty clutch will be ...
