Which g63 flywheels were 110 tooth? FWD? And will a AWD flywheel work or just a RWD/FWD because they are bigger. on the smaller dia flywheel ( narrow pattern bellhousing ) both the 106 and 110 ring gears have the same ID so if you have a flywheel in a 106 that fits the application the ring gear can...

It is A power gain.......how much of a power gain really depends on the rest of yuor engine (cam, head, valvers, exhaust etc etc etc) totaly agree --- the weber induction is a good starting point though and have the advantage of being able to be choked back for smaller or lower performance mods ie ...

I've heard a lot of talk about removing the balance shafts from the Astron engines. I listened to the talk and bought a kit to remove mine. But OMG it was the worst thing I ever did. Between 3000 and 4500 rpm the car had a terrible vibration. I have a Sigma Turbo I like to have it in that rev range...

Phillip island 2:00.5 Sandown 1:30 Winton long track 1:41 cant remember Caulder times
Morwell Hillclimb old track 35.87 sec

as in what ? I run twin 45 mm DCOE Webers on a NA car but they are way to small for the 2.6 even with 41 mm chokes anywhere over 6000 rpmcorty240 wrote:What have you done in the way of carby mods?
so the plan was to go bigger and the cheapest way is Quad TBs as 50 or 55 mm webers get a bit pricey

there are a couple of things to think about when trying to work out how strong your box needs to be its not Kws that break teeth in gearboxs its torque - Kw or Hp is work done turbo apps increase torque witch in turn increases Hp the lower the revs that you get high Hp or Kws the worse it is for the...

Back on track... when I was a boy, if you wanted to go faster, you needed more inches. Either bigger motor or stay 'legal', and stroke it. This all makes sense to me. Re: CE lancer track car
Cheater, Wouldn't you be better of using either a 4G62 or a 4G67 engine? This way you would be getting closer to your max capacity in class, or is there another reason for using the 1.6T engine. Nathan 4g61 has twin cam 4 valves per cylinder and are pretty well bullet proof - the shorter stroke eng...

Re: CE lancer track car
My bro had a CC lancer coupe in the late 90s, 1.8L manual and it was a pretty zippy thing- weighing in under a ton, stock. That's pretty darn light for a 'modern-ish' car of that size. Consider that a Volkswagen Polo is 100kg heavier and the new Kia Cerato hatch weighs around 1360kg. Almost 400kg h...

Bugger, you going to use that as a track whip? It looks far too neat to be used for trading paint out on the paddock.
