The Cold Sigma still lives!

Hello again, long time no see! The old topic kinda died and Dropbox decided to remove public folder, so I'm making a new one! But the Sigma still lives! Lots have happened, removed lots of rust, whole new paintjob, replaced more wear and tear parts than I can remember, and the electrics are still do...

Performance improvements (or swap) with few parts?

I know this has been asked a bazillion times, and there's a dedicated thread to what engines fit where and so on. But all of those seem to assume a steady supply of accessible parts to fit everything together. My Siggy's in Europe however. Parts are few and far between. Even so, there are a lot of r...

Re: Need centre dash for '79 Sigma

Thank you so much! Already sent an email :D Black is close enough, might as well refresh the paint on the entire dash after many years of sunlight exposure ;)

Need centre dash for '79 Sigma

Had unwelcome visitors earlier this week, broke the locks to get in, then ripped out the stereo with brute force! :( Left me with this: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/11277598/IMG_20170209_111701.jpg A huge gaping hole in the centre :@ All for a cheap FM radio :banh: So now I'm searching for a ...

Collision safety tests?

First of all, sorry if this is the wrong sub, don't know if it's "technical" enough But I was wondering if anyone knows wether theese vehicles have ever been given an official safety check or collision tests back in the day? If so, how their scores were, compared to other vehicles of the t...

Thanks a lot! Ordered and on it's way around the world! :D And hello to you, "neighbour"! I've actually found most parts locally, and the local Mitsubishi dealer still has the microfilms necessary to locate parts numbers. Unfortunalty, the only guy who knows how to operate that monster is ...

Cry for help from northern Europe

First of all; hi! Not many of these cars in Europe, and in Norway they can probably be counted on a single hand. Seems none of the Mitsubishi dealers can help either, so I am now asking you for help identifying a part number. What I am missing is a part on one end of the countershaft, near the trans...

Parts numbers for the old ones

Mornin! Keeping an old '79 GE alive up in Norway. Problem is - no Mitsu dealership is able to find any parts numbers And without them, I have no way of replacing simple things like spark plugs and the timing belt So if anyone could help me with numbers for the usual wear-and-tear parts of an old 4G3...

Re: 1979 Colt Sigma from the cold north

Update:

Some previous owner has had their fun with removing all numbers and stickers, except the chassisnumber
Have done my research and found that I have the usual 4G32 engine.
Also found that there are no engines for sale that would be a bolt on swap, so I'll be keeping the one I have.

Re: 1979 Colt Sigma from the cold north

Hello again! So, it's been a while, sorry for that Anyway - safety control went better than expected! - Had to do some exhaust welding - Remove those additional lights and the orange paint on the headlights - And some riddicolous, home-made modification to the rear suspension that made absolutley no...

Re: 1979 Colt Sigma from the cold north

It's been a few weeks now, military took most of my time, but progress was made nonetheless Thanks to all your help, and wiring diagrams form "ddt", I was able to find the error. Turned out someone had been fiddling with the connections on the backside of the fusebox. More spesifically tha...

Re: Hi, some guy with a 1979 Colt Sigma signing in :)

Thanks for such fast replies! :D I've opened a thread over at the "build" section, where I go into a bit more details on what needs to get fixed. http://www.sigma-galant.com/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=12236 . Mostly electrickal issues, so a wiring schematic would be great, BlueThunder! As fo...

Hi, some guy with a 1979 Colt Sigma signing in :)

Hi everyone! Some young norwegian fella here, just bought my first car. Been looking for "the right car" for a long time when I stumbled upon a nice 1979 Colt Sigma for sale. However, it has had a few "unfortunate" modifications done to it by previous owners, but I have big plans...

1979 Colt Sigma from the cold north

Recently bought this old Colt Sigma from 1979. Never heard of Sigmas before, but it really caught my eye. Gotta love the cool, but still classy design on these things. Got it fairly cheap, it runs well and there's not much rust (that I have found yet, at least). Another important thing is the awesom...
