Hi guys,
Its getting around time i bit the bullet and got my engine reconditioned. was wondering if any of you have had a 1.6 done in melbourne, and or could vouch for someone in melbourne that does a good job at a reasonable price?
any help would be much appreciated.
cheers,
James

Yeah might be the gauge, it goes to the top and stays there, no fluctuation.

My oil pressure on my stock standard g32b is at the top end of the gauge all the time, is this regular, or is the oil pressure too high?

Re: how much did you pay for your engine?
So to get a well tricked up g32b it comes in at around the the grand mark, seems like you guys have opted for the jap 5 speeds too, are they a good box/and are the better geared than the standard 4 speeds? also, with all the engine works done does it make them very thirsty (as 75gint mentioned)

lb hatch spongey brakes
Hi wondering is this the norm or do i need to have a closer look at my brakes. The brakes work quite well but require a bit of a pump to come on hard, the fluid level is fine, and with about half a pump extrathey on well, but if you just apply gentle pressure and don't pump it the pedal will go quit...

Re: Make my g32b go harder...
The G32B responds well to a bit of port matching and cleaning up of the inlet manifold and side of the head. Kill off the EGR junk by blocking the EGR gallery under #3 inlet port as this ruins tuneability and how smooth the engine runs and idles. The stock carby can be tricked up to improve mid ran...
