You should be getting at least 550 per tank (@70 litre tank). If you flog it you will get a lot less. Is the sender right in the tank, is it actually empty when it's indicating that?

Any chance of pictures of the car/installation? If not what engine a Windsor? Fuel injection or carby?

Did this poor old thing finish up in the scrap pile? Maybe it's racing at Bathurst shortly?

I have a 2 litre with an auto in a 78 Scorpion. Just did a 500 K trip and got 11.5 K's a litre on premium one way and only 8.5 K's a litre on crap unleaded the other way. The worse mileage with the unleaded had tailwind assistance as well. I did 460 K's and it took just on 40 litres on the premium. ...

Anybody run ULP? I usually run premium but had no choice on fill up the other day. When I did the sums the ULP did just over 2 K's less per litre plus it ran like a hairy goat down low, missing every now and then round town. ULP is just rubbish fuel, even mowers and whipper snippers won't run proper...
