Bit of a weird one... Seems the needle in the tacho is warped...probably from heat... It will only move up to 2k and sits there... Looks like its catching on the front perspex of the gauge Anyone seen this happen before and can the cluster safely be pulled apart that far to solve? Frustrating as ive...

I've got a couple of spares in good nick...

You have to undo the whole dash front and take out the glove box and instrument cluster.

There are 4 bolts that go thru the demister vents that have to be undone... But there are also 4 small split pins in those bolts that have to be pulled out... Once they are out it lifts off

From memory I saw some GH ones on eBay the other day... I think the mechs the same as the GE's

I'm still working on a suitable mould and closed foam base... Looking to get a 3d map done of my good one in a few weeks so I can look to get some inserts done on a cnc...

thanks... so what about tyre and rim combo's was thinking that if i run a 14 i will run 225/60R14's if they will fit the wheel arches clenly im just not sure what the biggest tyre size that i can run is, both on a 14 and 15... hence why im trying to narrow this down so i can search for the right com...

I'm trying to work out what will fit rim wise for my scorpion.

Having trouble finding anything 4stud 14 inch

Perhaps I need to go up to a 15? or to a 5 stud setup?.

I have a crazy vision/plan to put a new modern dash into one of mine.. got the idea from a West Coast Customs episode where they used a Monaro (pontiac GTO) dashboard in an old school camaro body and have a dashboard or 2 to measure up

I know this is an odd question given that im doing up scorpions of my own, but they are in storage 2 hours away currently... can anyone tell me the width of the dashboard from drivers side door to passenger door please... came up with an odd idea whilst sleeping and want to check on something today ...

any companies that you know that will do this with a Scorpion Dash as i have not found one that would touch them after a year of research...

What sort of race car would you make out of a Scorpion, they only go in a straight line. I have never heard of a Scorpion race car? In saying that good luck with the build and I would love to see photos :thumpsup: Ive seen a few Rally cars, and actually a couple of modified production speedway cars...

found that there was a loose wire in the connector on the side of the distributor.. fixed that and its all sorted and running well

we took our scorp down to have wheels and brakes checked and when it came off the hoist it refused to start turned over no worries but no spark.. power to coil is fine but no spark from it to distributor replaced coil still no spark to distributor anyone have any ideas what could be wrong? was start...
