'75 galant front kick panels
Hello, Galant people. Does anyone have, or know where I might obtain, some front kick panels to suit a GC or GD Galant. I've just recarpeted my GC hardtop and now the worn kick panels look like crap. Alternatively, does anyone know who makes repro kick panels or has templates to do so? Cheers, Stick...

Re: Autotechnica steerin wheel compatibility?
Lots of boss kits won't suit an Autotechica. However, Momo bosses are compatible but they're more expensive. An Autotechnica original would therefore be best, if you can get one.

Re: dashpad restorers?
Does anyone know how to get the dash pad off? I'm getting mine done soon but not sure how to remove it and I don't want to bugger it more than it already is.

Re: recommended method for painting gc taillights
I know this reply is waaaay too late to answer the original question. However, it still might interest some one. I did my tail lights years and years ago after giving them a light sanding , an undercoat and a top coat, in matte black, but they started to flake off after a few years. I redid them usi...

'New' Tassie-based GC Hardtop
Hello, all. Thought you might like to see the latest GC hardtop to arrive in Tasmania. It belongs to a bloke called Daniel and has only been here a month or so, having recently been bought from NSW. Re: GC Galant skirts and flares
Just had a look at the 'post Galant wagon pictures' section of Galants' Garage - the silver GC or GD wagon (can't tell what it is) at the top of the page has almost exactly the same flares, but maybe a bit rounder. My brother's may have been a bit flatter over the top section, a bit like an oval pos...

Sadly not. I'll see if he has. However, they won't be digital; way too early for that.

Re: Front Sway bar
In regards to the rear sway bar, I took one off a Lancer hatch & had it fitted to my GC hardtop. I think it's a Selby (yellow?) but I painted it orange, because that's the colour I had at the time. It goes onto the diff housing about 1/3 of the way in from the wheels with U bolts, and is attache...

Re: GC Galant skirts and flares
Probably all but impossible to find now, but my brother has Datsun 200B SX bolt-on flares on the front of his GC. He cut away the existing flare, such as it was, to give his tyres more clearance. The bolt-ons were secured w/ allen headed screws, a bit like SL/R flares were, but not as fat. Looked re...

Re: Dash pad cure?
There's a crowd in Melbourne that re-skin dashes - I think they do some vacuum type thing. Saw them advertised in Unique Cars (I think that was that mag) & sent them an email. They reckon they can fix anything - even if it's cracked right through. Mine will be going there as soon as I: a/ work o...

Re: Mrelshauno's 1850 (GD) Coupe begins (Pic Heavy)
Love what you're doing w/ your GD! Call me ignorant, but I'd never heard of an 1850. I think all OZ cars were 1600 / 4 speeds. Noticed a few other differences, too: slightly different front bumper (OZ GC & GD hardtops had indicators in the bumpers) & the steering wheels & centre consol a...

Re: Almost Finished
Thanks. Glad you both like it. The dash pad will come out soon & will be sent to Melbourne to be re-skinned. I saw an ad for re-skinners in a car mag (Unique Cars?) & contacted them. They reckon they can fix it, even if it comes out in pieces (there are 2 x deep cracks right through the foam...

Almost Finished
Hello, all, & thanks to those that provided advice on windscreen rubbers, etc, for my '75 Galant hardtop. Obtaining one was a saga. In the end, Windscreens O'Brien custom made me a windscreen rubber by cutting down none from an early Pajero. It doesn't have the slots for the chrome retainers but...
