Re: engine starts but cuts out a couple seconds after.

I've heard of this exactly before but I can't remember what the answer is!!! The owner is a bit of an odd guy. He's convinced that the trouble is actually the engine is sort of allergic to him personally!! He's fair dinkum! P'bly because it doesn't play up when the mechanic tries it - which is prett...

Re: how many teeth does a 4G52 starter motor have

Hi. That is a very mixed up subject. I got caught with my Drive Plate/Flex Plate being mostly destroyed as a result - or the cause! They 'kill' one another. It was the time of the change over with the Magna Astron engine and starter. I even tried to take videos of the 'action'. I gave up in the end ...

Re: GJ Wagon Turn Indicator/Hazard relay confusion.

All I can say is WOW! Thank you a million times over, Sigmaproject!!! :D I pulled it out, saw that the pin configuration was the same as the 'can', put in another can there, held my breath and operated the turn lever and YEAH!!! And the Hazard system still works. I don't know if the can is overloade...

GJ Wagon Turn Indicator/Hazard relay confusion.

Hi All. I'm trying to sort out a non-working Turn Indicator situation. No life at all via the Indicator lever but the Hazard lights system is working fine, so the globes must be OK.? Firstly it is correct that there are two seperate relay units, yes? On the 'rotten to get at' relay panel, the 'metal...

Re: GN sigma 5spd 165,000kms

Also you can buy a very handy 12 volt electric fuel pump from most auto stores. (East Coast Spares here in Melbourne, mine.) Locate the pipe from the tank - or take a hose from the filter if it is not blocked, before it if you suspect that it is blocked - and run the output of the elect pump straigh...

Re: how to convert Power Windows

I'm very interested mainly because on my GJ, the driver's side window assembly has pulled away from the door body panel.
Welding broken, rusted.
Is it OK, possible, to drill and bolt it back on?
Thanks in anticipation.
Laurie, in Melbourne.

Re: GE sigma carby issues?

I would add and stress, as mentioned earlier, a new fuel line filter wouldn't go astray.
Certain carbys don't have a glass viewing 'hole' to check the level in the bowl, which is a nuisance.
Maybe just the later ones?
Good luck. ;-)
