Re: Drum brake parts?

Lancer Hatch and Galant wagons have larger rear drums than the normal Galants and Lancers.
That would be why there are different parts.

G'day Anthony, welcome to the forum.

It's a little quiet these days (due to things like Facebook), but there's still plenty of good info to be found here.

Very nice Marty,

Loving the look of this, just a simple lowering job and nice set of wheels is all these need to make them look good

How far do you think you'll go with paint? Whole car, or just try to patch up and blend any repair areas?

Now this is an interesting build.
I've always thought a turbo diesel in an early Commodore would be a good swap also.

Re: 4G32 solex/ mukini twin carbs close up shots and info...

Hi 4G32stockboi, Sorry for the slow reply, I don't get on here as much as I used to. The secondaries on the solex carbs are controlled by vacuum. Your carb does not appear to have a vacuum chamber. I believe this is your problem. I'll have to have a dig around and see if I can find a complete standa...

Re: Looking for a good mechanic Hunter/ Newcastle area

There's an old school guy at Kotara and he has a Galant rally car with a 4G64 in it. His business is in behind Altapac. I'm trying to remember the name of his business, his name is Laurie, he's a good bloke and said hell look after SG members. 77galantv6 got some work done by him. I think the busine...

You're after a centre out of a GE Scorpion auto, that's what I have in mine. It's around 3.55 or 3.6:1? Instead of the 3.89:1 in the Galants.

Probably easier to just get a complete wiring loom from one that hasn't been cut then to try and go through the harness trying to refit a fuse box to it.

Surely there are a few out there with a wiring harness from one they've stripped?

Although I can't help you with the info you seek, that's a tidy looking Lancer and sounds like a build worth watching.

This may help you with some info, but it wont help you with you turbo clearance issues.

The red would depend on the final colour of the car but it's easy enough to change it if need be. Funny you say that. Ferg loves these rims and the colour of them, so much so, body colour choice has just been changed to accommodate them. I stopped in to look at them on the way home form work today....
