What Mitsis have you towed?
I was looking through some pics - buying a car trailer was the best thing I've done in recent years. Here's a few snaps from over the years of car buying. What Mitsubishis have you towed? My Farm sig I just sold: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v65/SHIFTA/IMG_0922-1_zps36749731.jpg My Rally GSR on...

Security questions
Hi guys, I've finally been able to get on to the forum for 2 days in a row! While it's working, here is a suggestion - for the "login failed" security question, set the question so there is only one possible answer. In the past it asked for the names of the cars in the Site banner which is...

Re: 80s Colt, Saturn 1.6, low ks, smokey as!
Apologies for late reply - have trouble logging in to the forum daily . Definitely don't need another project Jase! I'll try some stop smoke and a few other tricks and if I can't fix it, the farm will be it's destination. Will be a shame as it cleaned up nicely!

80s Colt, Saturn 1.6, low ks, smokey as!
So I've owned quite a lot of Mitsis over the years but never a FWD Colt....until now. The model itself has impressed me - 4 door, 60/40 split rear seats that fold into the boot, drives well and good on juice. Overall I can see why people bought them new. Now this thing has 118,000kms on the clock an...

Re: Starter clicking but no turnover on 69 Colt and 74 galan
No luck :(. First relay I tried did the same - single click. I tried another one and it clicked constantly as if it was throwing the wheel out but not turning. Was late so have packed it in for the night. Out of interest I was doing something else with my other colt and decided to check out it's wir...

Re: Starter clicking but no turnover on 69 Colt and 74 galan
Hi Nick, I gave this a go today and didn't really find out anything. The Multimeter didn't have a reading at all. I then tried a new cable from the negative side of the battery to the body of the Starter - no change. One thing that stays constant is how hot the earth wire from the Starter to the mot...

Re: Sigma turbo bonnet vent Measurements
Bloody nice work Leigh! I have the same problem with my sig - non standard bonnet but luckily I found a genuine siggy turbo bonnet a couple of years ago so that will get used. Pity it's silver! Top work with the measurements and drawings - I daresay I will come back to this thread at some point in t...

Re: Towing with a sigma
Not in SA - wheels on the ground = bad news! It's seen as being the same as flat towing with a rope in regards to the car being unregistered.

Re: Towing with a sigma
Towing a car on a car trailer with a Sigma is madness. I regularly tow Sigmas/Galants etc and recent tow cars are a Mitsi Challenger with tow rating of 2.4T and before that my VS commo wagon with HD tow kit rated at 2100kg. Even with these legal options it's easy to get into trouble and often have b...

Starter clicking but no turnover on 69 Colt and 74 galant
Ok so first up Auto Electrics are my kryptonite so probably an amateur problem. Here's the go. My ute won't turn over. It does every now and then but very rare. The starter just clicks like it would when you have a flat battery. Just tried my third starter motor in there and also a fresh battery wit...

Nah, mates are heading to Adelaide International Raceway but none of them seem to have the details. My guess is that it's BS but would like to confirm!

4, 6, rotor drags at AIR this weekend?
Rumours are that there is a 4, 6 and Rotor Nationals this Saturday at AIR but there seems to be no info anywhere on the net I can find. Anyone got any details?

Re: looking for info on the matt black sigma wagon
The GE wagon had an NA 2.6 put in it and it was sold - never saw it again . Running gear was saved and years later ended up in my old GK GSR which I sold earlier in the year. I miss both cars!

I'm back!
Well I only half left. My work comp logs me in automatically but my Iphone and home computers ( all 3 of them ) haven't let me log in for ages. So if you see Shifta post, tell him to get back to work! And if you see Shifta2 post, all is well
