Strip lights for the A57C's is a definate, although trim does appear to vary!

My stock lights came with a black surround although other models appear to have chrome surrounds,

I prefer the chrome so whilst Affa is restoring me a set i've gone chrome with those :D

Re: 76 Colt Galant GTO GSR 2000

the shot blasting has done a pretty good job of getting everything off,
the next step is cutting out the bad bits and making an easy patch hole,
then after it's been repaired it will be galvanised before powder coated!

Ok, so I've got my first load back from the shot blasters, few pieces need repairing, will get some pics up soon, so most of that load will be off to powder coaters this week, and the second and final batch is nearly ready for shot blasters: http://i1321.photobucket.com/albums/u543/partyboyjay/WP_00...

Re: 76 Colt Galant GTO GSR 2000

I would be getting it dipped before starting anything I am a little worried about losing the shape a bit though, especially on the rear light fittings, don't think there's going to be much left there, should I make templates before the dip? Is that a wise decision? Would love to live anywhere over ...

After seeing the rust in this car and a few others in the UK, if I ever hear an Australian complain about the heat or the sun I will straight up bitch slap them. Re: New 74 Galant GTO GS2000 member From New Zealand

As far as I'm aware the 2.6 turbo starion engine is as good as dammit a bolt in job, diabolu over here in the uk did that to his, granted there are little mode to the gearbox etc but the engine itself wriggles itself in just fine from what I've read

Let's have some pictures of the beauty!!! :P

Re: 76 Colt Galant GTO GSR 2000

You are talking about going for the primer coating at the end as well aren't you? Yeah I'd be doing the dip, then the e-coat seal, then the primer, think they call it a 4 stage process, the dip, clean, electro magnetic seal, then finally the primer, so the interior should be sealed after the e-coat...

What exactly do you want from the engine work? just sprucing up or full on every part stripped and repainted? I'd like it as clean as possible, stripped and re painted sounds like a lot of work and money! Pros and cons for this vs sprucing up??? I've been looking at this site http://www.aloh.co.uk/...
