Re: GN Sigma - Intermittently Wont Start
It might be worth checking the pickup gap In the distributor, my lancer would not start on the key but would bump start fine

Re: GN Sigma - Intermittently Wont Start
I had an Alfa that did the same thing, it turned out to be spark plug gap too wide
I also had a gh sigma do the same, I think it was the fuel lines/filter getting too hot, from memory I think I moved the filter

I forgot to say you may have some issues with emission control on the 4g67 being a later motor

Re: What engine swap for GC/GD Galant?
You could look at a 4g62 out of an l300 or a 4g67 out of a galant ( dohc 1836cc ?? ), they should be within the capacity limits for rego without getting it engineered. In nsw I think you can go 20 percent bigger Then latter you could use cordia turbo gear or multi point manifold of a 4g64 l300 and s...

Re: 5 stud options for GA/GB?
I just took a couple of photos but I've forgotten how to put them on here The hubs are on the 2 bolt struts at the moment but I assume the stub axles are the same as the gh stubs There were people on here talking about using trailer hubs but the quality of the hubs may not be good I am not sure if t...

Re: 5 stud options for GA/GB?
Sigma struts with ford xa drum brake hubs for the front
From memory you use Holden or sigma wheel bearings in the ford hubs
There would be a few disc / calliper options
I have an l300 diff with ea falcon discs fitted but it is quite wide and will big flares to cover the wheels

If the tunnel is the same as an la lancer it should fit You should be able to use your crossmember , I don't know if the starion gearbox mount will fit the lancer crossmember ( I used a modified one out of an l200 or something similar ) The starion will be hydraulic clutch I'm not sure about the tai...

Re: 4g64 8v SOHC turbo into lb lancer HELP!
I was only going on the photo ( I could not see an engine mount on the front of the block )
Either way it should go in without any major hassles
There would be some things to, the alternator could be on the other side of the block and you may need engine mounts from a L200 ?

If it is a 4G63 ( according to the ad ), it should be a wide block station motor, unless they used different motors in NZ

Re: Mpi intake manifold
You can use the station distributor, I think the ecu you use will dictate what wiring etc you use. You asked about a costom manifold? What turbo are you using? With the l300 mpi manifold you could use it all ( the throttle body would be above the rocker cover ) and use a custom pipe to your existing...

I bought a microtech LT9c with harness for $795. I wired it myself ( I know absolutely nothing about computers but it is running ) just needs to be tuned. The bloke at microtech thought that if I took the car to Newcastle I SHOULD be able to have the ecu supplied, fitted and tuned for around $2000 Si...

Are you thinking high mount turbo Stealth? I dummy fitted the 67 into my la, the evo 6 manifold just goes on the opposite side of the motor with the exhaust to the rear. It was a while ago, I'm not sure if the waste gate fouled

Re: Moar questions
An evo 6 manifold with an evo 6 16G turbo will fit a 4g67, on the 67 turbo rubbed against a small rib on the block ( 4g62 does not have the same on the block, I'm not sure about 63s)
I don't know if this helps. I THINK if you use the DOHC head on a RWD block it should be right

You could use ITBs of a Toyota 4age ( the silver top are 42mm and the black top are 45mm ).
I bought a set off a black top to put on a 4g67 ,but have not used them yet

They were jap import motors out of galant GTOs ( I think ). It probably would have had twin down draught carbies
I think we paid $100 each for the ones we bought, in the early to mid 80s

Does yours have a seating capacity of 2 on the compliance plate as well. I am not exactly sure mine has been cut and shut, but I assumed it was with a seating capacity of 2 and van written on the compliance plate.
