Re: 1988 Triton Ute....powered by BBQ fuel
I don't know whether it would be worth going through and blending the timing to give a smoother map, but runs fine and pulls hard. Good enough for this shitbox anyway lol. I have the rev limiter at 5600 rpm since it stops pulling around there anyway. We also set up the map to 10psi since that was mo...

Re: 1988 Triton Ute....powered by BBQ fuel
As soon as I remember to plug the laptop in one of these days I can a snapshot of the timing map. And I have an Impco 225 in the shed but was told it'd be too small for 200+kw. I have mixtures OK now with the 425, cruises richer than it used to since it had a permanent vacuum leak through the idle d...

1988 Triton Ute....powered by BBQ fuel
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e297/fishpost19/20160521_144332_zpsmdfona2i.jpg Long ago (4 years or so) I had no idea about turbocharged engines, but I wanted more from my 1988 Triton. I decided to dive straight in and do a turbo conversion, had a Weber 34ADM and some extractors and felt like it...

Re: Triton Turbo
So I ended up going a completely different direction with this build, I also bought a 1JZ Soarer with a single turbo conversion while I was building this Triton, and learnt everything I need to know about turbochargers. http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e297/fishpost19/20160521_144332_zpsmdfona2i.jp...

Sigma Turbo EWG Block off
Hi, I'm in the middle of putting a T28 turbo on my Triton, I am using an OEM Sigma turbo manifold, I need to block off the external wastegate port. The manifold came with the wastegate passage that clamps on with a v-band, but not the actual actuator. The T28 has an internal wastegate which I'll be ...

Re: EF/XF weber Carby
Are you running a fuel pressure regulator? These Webers require a max of about 3psi, and your stock mechanical fuel pump is probably more, my Triton pump was 12psi I think. Ended up using a Holley regulator at 3 psi, then bought an electric fuel pump rated at 3.5psi.

Re: triton carby tuning
My Triton is running the same carb, all engines are different but mine is running a 140 primary and 185 secondary and runs flawlessly. Mine tends to run on if I fill up with standard 91 unleaded, so I run 95 premium at a minimum and no worries. Try some premium if you aren't already running it, mine...

Balance shaft cover gasket
Hi, Anyone had any luck obtaining the o-ring/gasket on the upper balance shaft cover below the intake manifold on the 2.6? It's the only spot that's still leaking after replacing all the gaskets when I did the head. ACL gasket kit didn't come with one, and the local auto shop didn't have a listing. ...

Re: Triton Turbo
Ok, so after some more detailed research, I found out this TD04-13G is going to be too small. CFM and such it won't keep up with the 2.6l.

Triton Turbo
Hey guys, Been lurking around these forums for a year or so, only just signed up as a member. I don't have a Sigma or a Galant, but I do have a passion for Mitsubishi's. I own a 1988 2WD Triton at the moment, with the 2.6l 4G54. I am collecting some parts to throw a turbo on it. I already have turbo...
