Re: GE front end on GJ scorpion
I didnt take photos of the magna efi build, but thats been done a thousand times so no big deal there. I used a modified VS commodore plastic air intake that you can see crossing over the front of the engine and a modified air box from the same car as its square and was easy to use an old battery tr...

Re: GE front end on GJ scorpion
Guess i will start with the first issue first. Was never a fan of the GJ-GN scorpion front ends. To be honest Ive owned two GH scorpions, which I loved. I dislike the front end, tail lights, shorter rear windscreen, interior and side profile of the later scorpions. I only bought it because it was ch...

ive got 6J wheels on my lowered scorpion and 6J wheels on my standard spring sigma. i went with 195's and they hit the guard on full lock in reverse just. ive got 185's on the siggy and they are fine. if your offset is wide you might get into trouble. I went with the 185's on the siggy after I had 2...

Re: Oil Caps & Radiator Caps
4G32 Oil filler cap rattles - any blow-by will wear out your filler cap because its always moving in its hole. The hole wears too :( Get a thin piece of metal, 1/2 to 1" wide, bend it into a "z" shape (or 2 right-angle bends), drill a hole in one end, put the hole over the front air-...

Re: 32/36 weber on GN sigma
The vacuum advance is attached to the old carby, the thing you are talking about is the egr valve just below the carb. they are part of the anti emissions gear, which will be all but useless with your new carb. thats if it is even working the get clogged with carbon not long after they leave the fac...

I went with a simple samurai face mask for the bonnet. I might add a helmet later but for now getting this thing on the road takes priority over busting my balls trying to figure the best design and how to do the composition. here it is in its splendifourus glory :P http://i421.photobucket.com/album...

What sender are you using, my gn runs the 5 psi one. 20 psi seems more reasonable where did you get it?Superscan811 wrote:
The light comes on when the pressure drops below 5psi.
At that pressure, the engine is doing itself damage, no matter what rpm.
I use a 20psi switch just to be sure.

oh and as far as i know there isn't any variations on the 4G52 timing chain wise (maybe a 1000000/1 non balance shaft model) post a pic of the engine and we might be able to spot any anomaly's. i would be pretty confident that is your kit.

this is what your tensioner looks like the triangly thing behind that chain. I think it gets its pressure from the oil pump. this could be worn as well as your chain guides. http://i421.photobucket.com/albums/pp292/tubulon/P8190442_zps310f0c69.jpg I have also heard of the chain guides wearing throug...

Re: Twin mikuni/solex downdraught help
i just fit a set of these to my 2.6 scorpion. they ruined my life for two weeks mine are flooding with too much fuel on acceleration. i think someone has swapped in accelerator pump bits from a standard mikuni carb and they are pumping in too much fuel. try limiting your accelerator pumps and see if...
