Re: Say hello to B2!

Looking good

Just a though though, you can pick up vinyl/plastic/upholstery dye from SCA for pretty cheap. Doesn't scratch or come off, and no need for primer. Brings stuff up looking brand new

What are you doing for brakes and can you make me a thermostat relocation thingy Not sure about brakes yet, but I'll most likely get some custom brackets made for some bigger brakes and get some vented and slotted discs. I haven't made my thermostat relocation pipes yet, but I'll let you know how t...

A 70's Hilux diff would be your best bet, as there are too many different types of heads to list. Still a bit of work to get it in and a slight overkill I suppose

I'm not sure how strong the galant diffs are but you would probably want to look into replacing it with something stronger.

I was thinking of putting a 2nd hand 10' samsung tablet in mine since they are only $150 more than your standard head unit, gps and wifi seem like a worth while bonus. Plus if you use a link ecu or another ecu with bluetooth you can view all the information the ecu is processing on the tablet/mini p...

LA Lancer adjustable coilover suspension

Picked up a set of front and rear cusco inserts for a r33 gtr for cheap, they seem pretty flash with adjustable dampening ect. I have a set of front struts from an 80s ex lancer. Now, my question is: What would be the best way about creating some coilovers? I was thinking cutting them near the base ...

Re: VTEC fitted into a galant

Interesting, but personally I find VTECs or any VVT type system stupid and unreliable. Just more parts to go wrong. Also I wouldn't take too much notice of what the mighty car mods guys do (even though they are hilarious) since they pretty much put out videos for ricers to fap over. The turbo mx5 is...

Re: 1976 LA Lancer 4g63t Build

Haven't decided on the turbo yet, I want something small enough to get boost at low rpm or I'll just be spinning the wheels all day. I'm going for around 300kw so I will be making a strut bar for the front and one in the boot, maybe a half cage too. I will be looking into some sort of under body bar...

I would have though it would be easier making up a flange and pipe running from the back of the engine, round under the intake manifold and relocating the thermostat somewhere under the intake manifold?

I think the LEDs you are looking for are called "T10".
Go for the brightest possible, sometimes they are a lot dimmer than you'd expect.

Ps. Just a tip, I put blue ones in mine and they looked like shit, so I got some white ones, much nicer.

Re: VR4 into LC lancer?

I think the earlier evo 4g63ts will bolt up to rwd jap boxes. Vr4 engines are stronger and usually cheaper than the evo ones (That's why I went with one). All you need is rwd engine mounts from any pre 1990 4g63 mitsubishis and the engine should plop right in

Re: VR4 into LC lancer?

One other thing, is it better to use an engine, say, from an evo 3 config? I have yet to see a lancer with a later model 4g63t. Only setups I've seen use the evo 3 or earlier. Your best bet would be to look for a 6 bolt vr4 4g63t, as these have the stronger bottom ends and don't suffer from the cra...
